Fantastic! this is so cool. But, for some reason i think if he raise his arms, or the shoulder will chop his head or he will not raise his arms above the head. And look a little plain like you something you would see in a demon from "darkside". He don't look badass enough to be "The" embodiment of War.
Don't misunderstand, i really like your piece, there is all the senseless destruction and power,you'd expect of "War", and your style only help draw the good of the character. It's only my baseless opinion. So, good work!

I think the "typicalness" of War is just an essential part of him; war's not pretty, it's a lot of hot death and destruction. Which is why War always completely lacks subtlety.
