Description Nothing too amazing, more to show process of character development, starting with block thumbs and carving back into them is by far the fastest and most effective way to get unique characters. The thumbs on the left are a selection from 50, them 50 plus the grey scale iterations took less than an hour, then i did the illustration in about 30 minutes and i did this process about 5 time over before i found the character i was look for which happened to look nothing like this character in the end, so it goes to show how far you can take things in such a short space of time.

2D concept is a great thing to strive for then. I know the industry has high standards regarding the speed in which you can digitally paint and it looks like you are pretty quick. I have a lot of practicing to do since I am new to the digital world, being sheltered in a smaller community working as a food clerk and going to general collage. lol.

Your work is inspiring!

This is nice. I like how loose you worked and yet were still able to get a great looking character. Was this for a personal project? Do you plan to model it?

Yeah its a self-project for university; we needed to write a games document and design a game from the ground up which was interesting practice. Glad you liked it though.

Thats neat. Im currently at Full Sail University myself. Today I had to create a character similar and start the zbrush right away now that my concept has been checked off. I couldn't help but notice your character turnaround after I had uploaded mine. Awesome work!

yeah i'm interested in 3D but ive focused on 2D throughout the last couple of years so ill continue to do so until i get my degree then ill venture off i think. Mudbox/zbrush interest me but i get distracted too easily i think lol. I can box-model and Texture but nothing too amazing to be honest- industry jobs are specific, they don't look for people with multiple skill sets, they like people to be masters at one job rather than being good at everything so 2D only for me now. Chasing the ultimate dream of being a Designer but yeah, arnt we all.
