I feel like it's all just temporary new designs. Like the show's gonna come back with a time skip and they will have moved on to new looks already...
Peri's look is nice, sure, but feels improvised from bits of Pearl, Garnet and Amy..

I'm thinking time skip lately, because the rumors is that the new SU tv movie will take place after some time after the last finale, and then the new season will continue from there. And what better way to shake the status quo and a movie setting than some new designs?

I see those glasses of hers and my first though is immediately Team Dai Gurren and judging by Garnets new shades too, im getting the feeling the homage is intentional XD
