I've been working on Warrior of Light on Dissidia a lot, and I'm liking him. He's a great all around fighter. I got my system down with him and everything. Not to mention also that he's the only hero who doesn't seem to have... issues. Seriously, while the others are all struggling, he comes around and takes care of everything, making sure everyone get's their crystal before him. Cause he's awesome like that! And how about those horns? With anyone else you'd say "That's stupid!" but the Warrior of Light is the only hero who can pull it off.Related content

you know...HE is the most badass character of the saga. he war an armor, has a badass helmet and plus he is mute..just like Link. i still like more the other games of FF but..i just don't like FF7

I think one of the best parts about this guy
is how he has a constant poker face on.
I play dissidia 012 with my buddy all the time, He fights me with garland, Zidane, bartz, Prishe... hell, everyone except cloud of darkness.
and me with just WoL.
and I kick ass almost everytime. I love that guy. XDDD

Yeah, he's awesome n' all, but it took him ages to get his crystal in story mode! (Dissidia 12 does show he had to haul ass half way across the world about three times, but still!)
I love the look on his face when, during the end of the 12th cycle, he sees the whole manikin army and realizes "Oh shit. Now no one's backing me up!"
I also love how he's one of the few fighters in the game smart enough to bring a shield to a sword fight. And he beats you over the head with it in my favorite HP attack of his.
"ReLEASE!"-sounds so pissed when he says that!

I think I do. But it's not a full body shot. I just pulled it off IGN when it was it's wallpaper back then. The same is for the Garland pic I have. But I'll look for it.

WoL and Cloud are in my top 3 also. And if you think about it, Cloud could just be a floating wig with a giant sword, and you'd know who he is anyways lol.

Yeah, WoL is pretty cool! Though I think it said somewhere that he doesn't remember anything about his past, so that might be why he doesn't have any issues. XD

WoL is my fav in Dissidia as well, he was the first one to reach lv 100 and he gets all the cool stuff from weapon to amour first XD

I wish his Alt Costume was a 3-D render of Fighter/Knight, though, instead of just a red recolour. ):
I hated how they cheaped out like that with everyone.
(Besides, like, Cloud, Sephiroth and Squall. And Onion Knight, but that was just his hair.)

Firion had a nice alt. It was based on his other Amano art. Same with Bartz. And Terra's was good, too. Zidane's alt color based more on his Amano art, as well as Kuja, Gabranth and Cecil. I wished they used the green Kefka for his alt.
Yeah, I wished they did do a 3-d render of Fighter/Knight, too. But as for the other ones, what else could you do. Like for CoD, or Golbez, or Exdeath, or Ulty?

I had forgotten about Firion, but aside his hair, it was just a recolour; Amano art or no.
Ditto Bartz, Mateus, Kuja, Zidane, Gabranth, Cecil and Terra.
They didn't actually have a change to their actual figure's physical makeup.
Well, I understand why they made Cloud of Darkness's just a simple recolour; she's barely in the game at all; I actually thought Xande would be in Dissidia in her place.
At least Ultimecia had a nice recolour; with effort, rather than the red/blue alt that almost everyone else had. (Reds turned blue, blues turned red.)
But I'm not expecting magic for everyone; there were just some people with opportunities that were sadly missed out on.

Personally? I would have done quite a few things. Kefka's ALT costume would match his in-game sprite and artwork more, with the green coat and hat,
Onion Kid would have actually been Luneth instead of just the new hair and eyes under a blue recolour,
Tidus's ALT costume should have been his regular, and his ALT should have been more like Sephiroth's; a topless version, like in the trailer for DFF2. It seems fitting, with his dad's outfit.
Gabranth's ALT should have been Basch, I think, and maybe Cloud could have a second ALT where he was Zack. Kind of like how in Ehrgeiz, Zack was a clone of Cloud's moveset.
And I don't really remember FFIX, so I dunno what could be done with Zidane or Kuja...
Emperor Mateus should have been complex; his ALT costume should have turned him into the Seraph from the 20th Anniversary Edition, rather than just the keeper of Hell. It could have been something like how Cecil changes from Paladin to Dark Knight, if need be, but preferrably two entirely different movesets.
Cloud of Darkness, I'd have replaced with Xande, but then that's one fewer Magic user in an already sword-heavy set... Maybe he could have acted like a Thaumaturge, like Golbez, but in a different way. Like they attempted with Firion, though he was unsatisfying and unweildly to use.
I do say I'm satisfied with Terra's outfit swap, Sephiroth's, Cloud's, and Squall's. At least they had a significant change.
And, like I mentioned before, I would totally have had WoL's ALT be Fighter from FFI, who would become Knight in EX mode.
I have no ideas for the characters from IV and V though, or Ultimecia, or even Shantotto, as I never played XI. But maybe if her outfit differed more, to match her split-selves, from Shantotto Torn?
What about you? What would you think would be a nifty change for Dissidia?

Well, I agree with your WoL idea. And the Emperor's alt ex mode should have been the heavenly self. Your Zack alt, too. Of course with that idea you would need to change the dialog completely. They could've done that with Ultimecia, make her alt Edea; same moves, but different dialogue. And Xande IS a magic wielder, not a sword wielder. One wild idea I have that's never going to be used is that each hero and villain swap their outfits. THAT would be cool.

No, I don't expect them to add new characters; I just meant as alternate skins.
No matter the outfit, they will always appear in their default outfit in cutscenes, if I remember right.
The Edea idea works, though.

It seems like that, yeah. He doesn't have any real issues. He just swoops in on ailing allies, helps them out, and kicks serious ass while he does it. He's a strong fighter, both in the game and out, and will forever rock the world of Final Fantasy.

I have great respect for Cloud, but WoL took down frickin' Chaos in FF1! In my opinion, Cloud is the number 2.
