Updating my Captain's chair with accurate looking control interfaces.
I bought the push buttons from England. Surprise, they're actually made in Hungary! The black rings on them are actually bottle caps from Heinz Worcester sauce (perfect shape and size!)
The rocker switches are also locally made, from the DIY store OBI
I made the acryllic beads myself, using Synolite resin I bought from a fantastic company called V+3B. They were really helpful when I travelled through hallf the city to find them and their great product.
I made the black bevelled bases from plywood, the same I made my data card from.
The data card slot cover and the base for the rocker switch assembly are from a floppy and optical disk space cover I bought from a used-computer shop.

You can buy a 100% perfect replica of the Kirk chair - but it's easier and much-much cheaper to build your own one. Much more fun, too

Kinda like how I want to make my own Armstrong-A Captain's chair which is just the Enterprise-D captain's chair as seen in the last two quantum realities in "Parallels" but with green upholstery and metallic colored armrests

Fortunately, Stephen Hawking is on record as saying that he thinks he may have found a hole in Einsteinian Relativity that you can fly a warp-drive starship through.
