So I finished Mituna's helmet just in time for ShadoCon!

Items used:

Base Helmet: Scooter/cyclist helmet found on Amazon.com

Horns: Model Magic attached with super adhesive and velcro (so I can take off the helmet and attach the horns into hair clips I'll be putting into my wig.)

"Ridge" "Holes in Helmet": Model Magic (also put model magic over two buttons that used to hold the helmet's previous visor)

Orbs: A styrofoam ball cut in half and covered in a thin coat of model magic. Attached to helmet with super adhesive.

Visor: Blue and Red craft foam attached to the plastic cover for a cake tin tray (I bought mine at Family Dollar). Also glued into helmet with super adhesive

Coloring:

- Base Color of Helmet: Spray paint (I used a dull yellow color found at JoAnn Fabrics)

- Detailing: Acrylic paint (this was used on the small ledges to make it look like the horns are coming out of the helmet, as well as the two markings on the orbs.)

Time Taken: A week+

I would not suggest doing your visor the way I did it. I followed a tutorial on tumblr ([link] ), and even they said not to do it this way. Because you cannot physically see out of the visor. But I ran out of time to figure out another way to color it--since my Mother and I finished the helmet the day before the Convention I planned to wear it for.

I plan on remaking the visor later on, since the foam can be taken off the plastic.
