Yes it is real! This picture was taken while hiking in the middle of summer, so there was still snow melting around in certain spots. Like I said in the comment above there is usually always snow somewhere up there all year round. It's an amazing place to go if your dedicated to hiking many miles to see it. Well worth it.

haha. It's was the middle of summer when this was taken so there was still snow left to melt from spring all around. There's snow up there most of the year.
