I think I like her hair the most
Excerpt: Lucy Westenra's Diary- "There was a sort of scratching or flapping at the window, but I did not mind it, and as I remember no more, I suppose I must have fallen asleep. More bad dreams. I wish I could remember them. This morning I am horribly weak. My face is ghastly pale, and my throat pains me. It must be something wrong with my lungs, for I don't seem to get air enough..."
The dear Lucy and her winged friend is of course Bram Stokers.

It's always nice to see how others picture famous characters. Lucy does get a tough time of it, doesn't she poor thing. I love the dust effect underneith her. It makes it look even more like she's fading away to nothing but grey memory.
By the way, the black markings on her arm, what are they? (I've never read the book in full, only the over view. Shame on me.)

Most books expect you to use your imagination so artistic licence is a given. Besides, it's a good idea. I like the symbolisum of the darkness spreading through her body.
I didn't think the Victorians were still into blood letting but it has been very popular for many years.
