Aigen has been riding the seas since he was a wee lad. When A swell came up enough to sink his first ship, he made a deal. He gave his eye to the Lord of the Waves, swearing if the ship survived, he'd dedicate his life to protecting the seas. It worked, and shortly thereafter, his love for the sea was returned, in the form of a sea golem, his now wife.
