People found my relationship with Draco Malfoy odd.
We were friends before we came to Hogwarts due to the fact that our families were both Pureblooded and my parents were friends with Draco's.
Our friendship did not end when we got sorted into different houses oddly enough because Draco said I was the only one that he could trust.
I was a Gryffindor and he was a Slytherin, we were meant to be enemies like how he hated my friends, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville. I didn’t speak to him for over a month for what he called Hermione in our second year.
In our third year, we began to date. It was weird at first because we had always been friends but I realised that I loved being with Draco. He was sweet and kind to me and he wouldn’t dream of hurting me, it was a side only I got to see.
We were now in our fifth year and it was draining. We had our O.W.L's to do and the stress of Voldemort returning.
I had joined Dumbledore's Army and I couldn't tell Draco a thing, I knew he would run and tell Umbridge, it made me feel bad knowing I was keeping something as big from him but it was for the best.
“Darling, you look exhausted.”
I jumped in my seat and turned to see Draco standing behind me, worry evident on his pale face. I rubbed my (E/C) eyes and yawned.
“I’ll be fine, I’m just going to finish my Herbology essay then probably go bed-Wait, no, never mind, I told Mum I’d write to her.”I mumbled, picking my quill up and writing on the spare piece of parchment to remember to write to Mum.
“Darling, the essay isn’t due in until Tuesday and it’s Friday, it’s really late and the library will be closing soon, you can write to your Mum in the morning.”Draco told me, softly.
“No, she’ll worry and I-I need to finish the essay.”I mumbled, my eyes drooping.
Draco sighed and took my quill off me. He began to pack away my things as I tried to keep my eyes open.
“Come on Dear.”

Draco’s P.O.V

I had (Y/N)’s bag over my right shoulder and I was carrying (Y/N) bridal style in my arms. She had fallen asleep close to my chest.
She looked beautiful when she slept, she didn’t look stressed or annoyed, she looked peaceful. I know that recently she’s had a lot on her mind and I wish I could help her but it was hard to get time alone together. She was in a different house and she had different classes.
I stood outside the Gryffindor common room and then realised. I didn’t know the password.
“Ah crap.”I muttered.
I was about to try and negotiate a deal with The Fat Lady but a familiar, annoying voice piped up.
“Malfoy.”
I turned around and glared at the trio I loathed so much.
“Potter.”I spat.
“Why the bloody hell are you here?”Ron demanded.
“Well if you didn’t notice, Weasel, I’m kind of holding (Y/N).”I spat at the idiotic boy.
He scowled as his ears burned pink.
“Why is she sleeping?”Harry asked.
“She was in the library doing her Herbology essay, she’s been working on it for a solid few hours as well as doing her other homework and she’s been really stressed lately.”I sighed, looking down at (Y/N).
For a moment, I forgot the trio were there as I looked at my sleeping girlfriend. I smiled down at her.
“We’ll take her, thank you for bringing her.”Hermione spoke at last.
Harry put his arms out and I was reluctant to pass her over but Harry held her with ease. I passed (Y/N)’s school bag to Hermione before turning on my heel.
I walked a little bit ahead before being stopped.
“Malfoy.”
I turned back around.
“What?”I snapped.
“We may not like you but (Y/N) does, I don’t know why she does either, I just hope you know how lucky you are to have her.”Harry told me. I wasn’t expecting that.
“I know I am.”I nodded.
“And if you ever hurt her, you’ll have us to deal with.”Ron added.
“If I hurt her then I’d be kicking myself for doing so first Weasley.”I replied.
We were quiet for a moment.
“I’m glad you’re looking out for (Y/N), she speaks highly of you three, she calls you her family.”I added.
The trio shared smiles with each other.
I didn’t say anything else as I turned and walked away.
“I love you baby.”
I smiled to myself. She must have woken up and faked being asleep when we were talking at some point.
“I love you too Sweetheart.”I called back to my girlfriend.
