I've seen some "The Last of Us" fan-art imitating the style of "Calvin and Hobbes", and, being a fan of both, I decided to give it a go.
In the ORIGINAL COMIC (found by GiantScoot ), Calvin asks Susie Derkins for help on a science project he forgot to finish. She shushes him because they're in the middle of class, and their teacher, Ms. Wormwood, blames Susie for the disturbance, leading her to sit at the front of the class as punishment. I found Susie's dilemma similar to that of Joel's: the Infected seemed to only hear HIM, and not his companions.
Special thanks to the creator of "Calvin and Hobbes", Bill Watterson, for being a big inspiration to me as a cartoonist.
