A manga version of Scylla and Charybdis from The Odyssey.Hah, I got this great idea, and was able to break a long drawing hiatus with this nice, Epic picture.
...get it? Epic? Because it's... oh, never mind...
Anyway, Charybdis is the whirlpool monster that creates deadly whirlpools by sucking in water. Scylla is the rock monster with the six heads around her. (they are actually dogs, but for some reason, I made them look like dragon-things...)
They look so peaceful in this picture, but they're actually very very dangerous! Watch out for them!

Niw that you mention it, it does remind me of Pokemon too! It's probably the style. This is a fairly old drawing, and I hadn't really found my own style of drawing at that point, so it may have been influenced by various things...
...maybe I should redraw this, since it's been a while...

Haha, whenever people have to draw a picture for school, they always ask the best artist in the group to do it... even though we take so much longer because we have to be so thoroughly detailled... XD

I wish that there was a deviantART app for my iPad. The website doesn't work too well on it. But great picture. I know how it feels to be on a hiatus, I haven't worked on my story in a while. In fact, I'm still on the first chapter.
