Description ****EDIT****

So I've been looking at my needle felted shelf (which is actually my hubby's Naruto shelf that he so kindly shares with me...even though I didn't exactly ask >___>) and there's my Umbreon, Kibago, a pokeball, and now I just added Magcargo (temporarily, until he goes to his new home)...and sitting right there in the center was Vaporeon.

Now, I'm not saying she didn't look good...but my needle felting skills have improved slightly since I made her. So, I decided to kinda "revamp" her. I left her head alone, because I spent so much time on it before (and because I would have to redo her eyes, nose, and take off her fins and things...)---- I did make her shorter (I know it looks like I just widened everything XD), added more wool to giver her a sturdier look, cocked her head to the side, gave her *toes* and thickened her tail. I think it all the changes I made gives her a cuter look.

If you've actually visited this a second time, thank you. Please let me know what you think of the changes!

Changes added about 3 hours onto the original time.

-----------------------------
Original Description:

I couldn't help but make another pokemon after Kibago turned out so well ^.^

Vaporeon ...I just love the Eevee Evolutions.

This one took about 4 hours...I think these are satisfying because they don't take as long as amigurumi XD

I LOVE it~! By any chance do you do trades? If so,I make sculptures and plushies, but I haven't posted a pic of my sculptures yet

Well she's definitely cuter ^o^
I just love her little toes! I think they're my favorite part XD

Thank you ^^... hehe the toes... the toes... did you want Espeon to have toes? o.O If you draw a picture of how you want her, I can mimic it. Unless you don't care of course.

It doesn't really make much difference to me, but I do like Poke-toes so... I should be able to sketch out something (when I'm not so riddled with schoolwork) that's in the direction of what I'm thinking, but I'm sure anything you make I'll love ^^

TheHarley In reply to Mr-Ike [2011-04-26 18:02:38 +0000 UTC]

hehe Poke-toes... I like it. ...if you're confident that you'll love her based on my own ideas of how to make her, then there's no need for any sketching ^^

Well I'm still procrastinating so I did a little sketch thing on your profile It's probably not helpful at all, but I don't really know much about needle-felting and such so...yes...either way, I do know I'll love it Just like I love my Monozu

I saw lol... I was going to teach you how to needle felt... but you aren't patient enough >.> hehe I've had SO many people ask if I can make them a Monozu like yours.

Mr-Ike In reply to TheHarley [2011-04-28 17:08:54 +0000 UTC]

Yeaah I just realize I suck at three dimensional stuff (I've tried so many times to no avail) that I can't be patient...I just know whatever I make is going to suck, so I rush. Except for that little Charmander I made, that was truly adorable. I really wish his tail hadn't broken ;_;

I'm not surprised they're jealous of my Monozu, he is wicked awesome. And I don't use the term 'wicked' lightly.

I think you can do it... you just have to sit down and accept the fact that you WILL need to practice and it will take time.

You have the artistic ability to do anything. The only issue is that you need to practice things outside of your normal medium. You can't instantly be amazing at everything.

Wicked awesome *grins* yeah, yeah he is. Your serious owl makes me understand the gravity of the situation at hand.

I should! ...you do it -n-

And the first time I did an oil painting, it turned out fantastic and even Mr. Klaiber told me how amazing he thought it was. hehe. So. I SHOULD ;_; WHY WON'T YOU LET ME?

Also, I am glad my owl was able to communicate its message clearly.

w00t.
I should go get some needle-felting stuff then since obviously I'd automatically be fantastic at it.

OMG. I actually have time to do it now! I don't have to write any more papers for months! YUS.

You totally would. If you had patience... the wool is so expensive when you buy it at a craft store. Mostly because it comes in such small quantities. I order mine online now, much cheaper.

Yay! It's always nice to have the time to actually do these types of things.

*contented sigh* yeaaah...

I'm actually working on a cross stitching project right now and I just need to get some more materials for it...it's an Espeon pillow ^^ but I'm thinking maybe I should put that away for later and just go get some needles and wool and stuff cause I really want to try it. GAH I have so much time I don't even know what to do with myself now. I feel like. Overwhelmed.

And I have Jars stuck in my head. (which admittedly is not that bad, but it's mildly frustrating when I start typing the lyrics in the middle of a sentence.)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheHarley In reply to Mr-Ike [2011-04-30 16:32:01 +0000 UTC]

Cross stitching, that's very interesting. I have yet to try it actually. Hmm *thinks about attempting it...no no too many projects I'm already working on* you'll have to post pictures when you finish! I'm about to order some wool from my supplier for a few commissions I'm working on, if you'd like some higher grade wool to work with (after messing around with the cheap -as in quality, not price- wool at Michaels or ACMoore) I could order some for you. It's $3 an ounce (instead of the $2 at ACMoore which gets you less than 1/4 of an ounce)...just let me know. She has a nice selection of colors too.

Jars...by Chevelle? I love Chevelle... my favorite song is The Clincher. FAVORITE. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you MUST go here, now. [link] (just ignore the comments because idiots always find religious meaning in everything...I think it's due to their ignorance, religion was created to explain the unexplainable. Then science started to explain those things in a logical way and lawsuits were created. Mr-Ike In reply to TheHarley [2011-05-04 04:32:48 +0000 UTC]

Yes Chevelle. I just recently started exploring my music collection so the songs I got off your iPod have been on the playlist in my head. Meaning there's no playlist, I just sort of pick a random artist I never really listened to before and start listening to everything they've ever done. That's what happened when I gained my Deftones obsession. I'm still trying to get over that one. BUT ANYWAY. Yes, it's funny that you mention The Clincher, as I quite like that one as well. It came on my shuffle as I was playing a game and I liked it so much I had to minimize my game just to make sure I knew the title and could remember which song it was. I actually kind of knew which one it was before I even checked though, just because I remembered you mentioned a song that I was supposed to listen to and I know what good taste you have

I'll definitely post pictures...if I ever finish it that is x_x

Now don't tell anybody I told you this...but we MIGHT be considering visiting you (or rather trying to find a way) for a weekend sometime soon. If so, it may be possible for you to actually show me how to needle felt! (I can't imagine how many people--both your watchers and otherwise--are jealous of me for that )

OOH so I got a 98% in my English class ^^ My professor asked me if she could use my paper as a model for future students...I got a 174/175 for it! All 2,300 words that I had to write by myself...I'm kind of curious as to the grades my group mates got for it though, considering they didn't actually write anything that went into the final paper...what, bitter? Ahaha, I'm not bitter at all! *grumbles*

Ahh, so yes, it's been forever since you posted this and I can't believe it's taken me this long to reply. My goodness.

Ohhh okay, I see. lol. Well, Chevelle is quite amazing. Seeing them live is spectacular too, except that they don't really like people so they avoid their fans a bit. (I would too)...I've seen them three times. Yes, that's right, three. How awesome is that?

Finishing would be good...

O___O that would be awesome! haha you come to the beach and you want to spend your time needlefelting... *giggles*

NICE! Did you tell your professor that you wrote it all yourself? I'm curious what grades your group mates got as well...

It's okay, I understand. I sometimes take quite a while to reply to things... >.>

Mr-Ike In reply to TheHarley [2011-05-04 23:20:19 +0000 UTC]

UGHH now I'm obsessed with The Clincher and it's all your fault. >_< I especially love the beginning...the music is almost hypnotic, and the singer's voice is just...guh, Chevelle is so awesome. I'd love to see them live, but I kind of have an aversion to seeing bands live (mostly due to the fans). Now I have a new appreciation for that time you said you were going to see Chevelle (and some other bands) and Rei was really jealous.

That is actually pretty amusing. Going to the beach to needlefelt...but you know, the last time I was actually at the beach I was stung by a jellyfish and my hand was scarred ._. (at least I think it was the last time. Maybe not.)

I did tell her that, and she could see on the discussion board exactly what each of us did. I also had to grade my group mates on how active they were and what they did, and I told my professor that while those two participated quite actively they directly plagiarized almost everything from their two collective sources. (meaning they each had just one.) So. I had to rewrite all their copypasta. I wonder if they hate me now...

Okay, yeah, I know it wasn't actually copypasta...they're not cool enough for that...but I like the word. hehe. Copypasta.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheHarley In reply to Mr-Ike [2011-05-05 00:50:38 +0000 UTC]

Like I said... favorite song. I heard it live. It was AMAZING. The fans for Chevelle aren't as bad as other bands' fans... if I got tickets for you me and Ben for a show...would you go?

You went to the beach after that ...you were stung in 2008. Quite a few years have passed since then

Well, it's their own fault for putting forth the effort that they did.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mr-Ike In reply to TheHarley [2011-05-05 01:50:56 +0000 UTC]

haha maaaybe... you know, I seem to recall a certain someone mentioning a Deftones show that we were supposed to go to...

Oh right, the bad thing that happened last time I was at the beach was when my sand sculpture was destroyed right in front of my face on purpose. ;_; I'm not one to hold grudges, but that's just cruel. Why would somebody do that to a friend...? (or wait...actually I think the last time was when I went with mom and Everly that day we went to breakfast and you had class so we brought you back some food in exchange for your laptop...)

Even if they have no one to blame but themselves, they still need to pass that course and if that paper is the reason they have to retake the course... well I guess it really sucks for them. I'm just glad I'm awesome at writing/English/language/grammar. It's one of those skills that's super useful and I'll always be grateful for.

You know. I think your taste in music has influenced me. I was just listening to a song and I was thinking, wow, I really like this...and I checked the title...and it was The Fad. AND I KNOW YOU LIKE THAT ONE. It's like as if the Chevelle songs I like are predetermined by the music you made me listen to when you forced me along on your I'd-quite-fancy-a-little-outing,-I-should-shove-Shelby-in-my-vehicle-and-take-off drives.

Yup that would have been the last time. The food for laptop exchange. I remember that one.

That's very true. I wish I had that awesome skill... it would be very useful. Unfortunately, I lack said skill. Oh well. I seek to improve my foreign language skills and science skills... by foreign language, I mean math. Since it is indeed a language of its own.

XD I like all of Chevelle's songs... well most of them at least. You know you loved those drives.

I KNOW RIGHT?! I love Serj Tankian... the way he made the whole song seem more violent and shocking by using children was brilliant. He sings about things that actually matter, not about wanting to do some girl. (ps he did a version of Empty Walls with a Symphony and it sounds epic. Click here if you want to see it .)

You know that whole "Alan Rickman thing"? Serj Tankian is my Alan Rickman.

Well in that case, if you manage to procure Chevelle tickets for a date that I am available, I promise to go with you. d=

haha well I think your English skills are great. I don't have a whole lot to go on, but I've read enough of your writing to say it's definitely much better than most people's. You know, I remember how you were always the idea person and I was the editor...I always thought we could have written the most amazing stories together ^^ Although, I actually gained my writing ability from all the reading I do...I think. I might be wrong. I don't really know what it's like for the ignorant masses who aren't able to write well. (That sounded SO conceited.) Anyway! I think it's more of a learned trait that I was just lucky enough to stumble into But then again, not all readers are good at writing...meh, whatever, it's probably coincidental then... POINT BEING. Due to the fact that I don't know what it's like not to be able to write well I can't really find a reason why other people can't. Well, since you're a math/science person, you should be able to figure it out! Yes? Yes!

For some reason, most of the Chevelle songs I like are on their Wonder What's Next album. Other than Jars, The Clincher, and The Fad, all the songs worth noting are on WWN. Like Closure, Send the Pain Below, Don't Fake This, and The Red. (I can't tell if I like The Red because of myself or if that's one that you influenced on me.) Yet, amusingly enough, I don't actually like the song Wonder What's Next.

On a side note, (that's not actually a plz account) Captain Falcon was not allowed to eat around the other children in kindergarten because he would scream "Falcon Lunch!" and they'd all die.

That's not even funny, but I giggled. Because then I imagined Captain Falcon as a child shouting, "Falcon Lunch!" ...and omg now I want to draw that.

I'll be sure to check once they go on tour again

Saying my writing is better than most peoples isn't much of a compliment I do remember the idea/editor thing. I definitely agree, we could write amazing stories together ^.^ That would make sense, you definitely read more than I do. I don't think "normal" people would improve much from reading more, but it does help expand your vocabulary. Reading grammatically correct novels would help however, most people do not read books that would help. Perhaps I should spend my free time reading literature...it might help me write better.

Since I'm a math/science person, I suggest we conduct a study. My hypothesis is, "Extensive literature reading will improve writing ability" ...then, we have to do a randomized study of at least 100 subjects, of varying age and gender. First, we will give them a few prompts (3) to assess their initial ability. Next, we will give them a book list (of approved novels) which they must read over the course of the next six months. After the six months have passed, we will reassess their abilities with another few prompts (again 3). Essays will be scored out of 500 points each---based on grammar, spelling, sentence construction, overall flow, et cetera--- (for both trials) and the initial scores will be compared to the final scores. We'll calculate the standard deviation, eliminate any outliers (these might consist of individuals who did not complete the readings), and calculate the t-score using a 99% confidence interval. This would allow us to either accept or reject the hypothesis based on the found p value---compared to an alpha value of .01 (because of the 99% confidence interval). Further studies can be done by retesting in 6 months with another list of novels given to the subjects. Results can be compared using the methods outlined above.

Sound good?

Well of course that's the best album... Wait, you didn't mention Comfortable Liar... That's one of the best songs on that album! Do you like the song Get Some? I love the breakdown in that song, it's just fantastic! Especially live... >.> haha everything is better live. I don't really like the song Wonder What's Next either... it takes forever to start (the music sounds epic at first) and then his singing is just ehh. It doesn't sound like a song by Chevelle. He talks way too much in it.

>.> that was rather random... but I giggled. You should draw it O____O

...I love you.

I do like Comfortable Liar. I would have listed it, but my list was too long as it was I think from that album I like Closure the most...not just the sound of it, but the meaning and lyrics too. Get Some's breakdown is pretty awesome. The whole song is pretty awesome actually...This Type of Thinking has earned itself the honor of being my second favorite Chevelle album, and then Vena Sera comes in third by a very small margin. I don't really know the names of the songs (because I listened to them all on shuffle yesterday for about nine hours straight... >__>) So, uh, while I can recognize them all now, I have absolutely no idea what the titles are of like 97% of them.

haha yeaah me too...I've gotten a bit better with them cause I've been listening to Chevelle on shuffle almost constantly for over a week, but usually I'll only realize what song it is about 3/4 of the way through. Like Straight Jacket Fashion, since he only says the name of the song about 13/20ths of the way into it... >_> what, no, of course I didn't find out at exactly what time he said 'straight jacket fashion' and then divide it by the length of the song to figure out that it was 64.6% into it thereby almost 13/20 of the way through the song...pshh, it's not like as if I have no life or something >___>
