Silent Compassion
Part 4
"Yuki the Housemaid and Countess Vera Oichi"

The night carried on in the Oichi Palace and Yuki was just about finished with night shift as the clock struck 2:00 a.m. The Palace was normally quiet and cold this time of night, but with all her moving around she felt alittle warmer then usual. The earlier evening's events made for alot of work for Yuki to clean up after. However, she was efficient at her job and more use to the routine then the other housemaids when cleaning up after these things. What would normally take two maids several hours, Yuki could do by herself.

As the clock struck the hour of three, Yuki couldn't help but noticed that the countess had not returned home from her outing. She worried for her safety, as she did every night Vera sneaked out alone. Even though Vera was the most powerful woman in Vapotentia and watched constantly, even she knew how to fool the guards and escape, for but a few hours on her own at least. As Yuki finished up her duties for the night, she suddenly heard the stumbling footsteps of someone behind her.

It was Vera, and she looked a bit rough, but still put together, as excepted of someone with her stature. Even when the countess was intoxicated, she still knew how to hold herself together. Still though, Yuki was surprised to see her in the halls at this hour. The palace was very big, so it is possible Vera could have been wondering the palace for sometime. "M-M'lady Countess... my apologizes, I didn't see you there." Yuki said nervously as she continued, "Can I offer you my assistance?" Vera stepped towards her. Lust was in drowning in her eyes. "You can do something for me." Vera said, taking Yuki by the hand and pushing her against the wall. Yuki dropped her tray as she felt Vera's body pressing against her's. Yuki's breath quicken and she could feel her face blushing. "M'lady, Countess... What are you-" Yuki tried to say before being cut off by Vera. "You are so pretty." Vera said as she rubbed her cheek against Yuki's. "Come with me." Said Vera leading Yuki by the hand to her chambers, partially tripping over Yuki's tray. Yuki's hands begin to sweat and her heart beat faster in her chest, as she followed Vera's pace. "I guess it's my turn again." She thought to herself as she was dragged by the hand to Vera's room.

Once in Vera's bedroom, she shut the door behind her and turned to Yuki. Desire fueled Vera's actions as she approached Yuki. She slipped her dress off shoulders and let it fall to the floor. Taking off her shoes next, Yuki looked at Vera, "You are beautiful, m'lady countess." she spoke softly to Vera. Her eyes glanced to the dress on the floor as she begun to remove her maid uniform slowly. Yuki had been through these actions before, as well as several of the other maids. The other girls enjoyed these opportunities to spend the night with Vera, for they were either bisexual or lesbian and Vera was very beautiful. But Yuki was neither. She was straight and took no real pleasure in these encounters. But being a servant, she could not say no. Atleast she felt like she couldn't say no to Vera. She never tried telling her no before.

As Vera helped Yuki remove her uniform hasty and threw her on the bed, Yuki's body trembled nervously. Yuki could tell Vera to stop at any time. She respected Vera and believed she would stop if asked, but Yuki didn't want her to stop. She wanted to be used by her in this way, because it was the only way she knew she could truly help Vera. She knew something the other girls didn't know about Vera. That was that Vera was hurting desperately and this was the only way to help her. When the other girls laid with Vera, they too had lust in their on their minds. But their compassion was not there for Vera. Yuki knew she couldn't come out and ask Vera what was the matter with her. She was too proud and noble to admit to anything and Yuki feared Vera would just close up more. But in this moment, when Vera behaved in the manner, she was also at her most valuable. Yuki knew this was her chance to reach out and try to help her. But what could she, a lonesome house maid do? The minutes ran quicker with each passing moment.

Yuki was undressed and laying naked before Vera, her face flushed with color as she looked away. Vera began to lustfully ravish Yuki's body. She couldn't help herself as she left out a quiet moan. Vera may have been drunk with passionate intent, but she was still gentle. Her hands were soft, and her skin was soft. Vera kissed Yuki's quivering lips, her hands wrapped around her body. Yuki closed her eyes and kissed her back willingly. Her hands reached up and touched Vera's bare back. Vera's grin expressed her delight in Yuki's timid actions. "I want you." Vera said with one thought on her mind. Yuki opened her eyes slowly. Her throat felt dry as she swallowed. Yuki's eyes met Vera's. She knew this was her chance to get through to her. She slowly reached her hand and rested it on Vera's cheek as she nervously muttered the words as clearly as she could, "I-I am your's Vera... I am h-here for you." Vera's expression begin to change. Going from a lustful grin, to one of disbelief and shock. She pulled back from Yuki and looked away for a moment, as if suddenly awakening from a bad dream. "What did you call me?" Vera said with surprise, almost angry in her tone. Yuki took a deep breath and repeated herself. "I am here for you, Vera."

No servant ever called Vera by her name, even in these intimate private moments. But even so, there was conviction in Yuki's tone that impacted Vera the most. Yuki started to panic not knowing if she had just broken her trust. She begun to fiddle with her hands nervously, as her heart raced more. Yuki gathered the courage again to say her name. "Vera..." Vera stopped her from continuing and without words, she moved closer to Yuki and sat by her side, stroking her hair gently. Confused, Yuki looked up at her curiously, but with compassion, not saying a word to her while Vera just stared off into space. As if Vera's thoughts going a million miles per hour. Finally she broke the silence. "What is your name?" She asked. "Yuki... Yuki is m-my name, m'lady countess." Yuki replied meekly. Vera took a deep breath, continuing to stroke her hair. "Lay with me tonight, Yuki. Don't leave my side." She said in a serious, but loving tone. Yuki simply nodded and laid next to Vera in her bed. Vera cuddled into Yuki's chest silently. Yuki laid there for a moment, not knowing what to do at first, but then the motions came to her as she held Vera tightly in her arms and stroked her back. " I can hear your heart." Said Vera. It was not long before she drifted off to sleep shortly after.

Yuki continued to lay there holding Vera, a bit confused, but feeling happy in a sense. Maybe she got through to Vera? Maybe she did something good for her? Or maybe the alcohol had gotten to her and she simply passed out? Either way Yuki let her countess know she cared about her. Yuki wasn't sure what tomorrow would bring, but if nothing else, she made a small difference tonight. And for now, that would be enough. She continued to hold Vera in her arms, feeling herself starting drift away. She was tired after all. She had stayed up working all night.
