Description I couldn't sleep about 2 nights ago so I started painting. Usually I plan out every brush stroke but this was more about relaxing and just letting things happen.
This was a piece I started a few months back but only got the face %70 rendered out. I got inspired and decided to fuck it up...In a good way

it's watercolor
Prismacolor pencil
acrylics
on Rives BFK paper (tan)

I used tape to distress areas. If I made a mistake, I just went with it, rather then stressing about sloppiness or refined detail.
The piece started out as more of a rectangle but as time went by I started to see it more as a square, so I cropped it. It feels better to me.
Hope you like it.... Well I guess I dont really care, im not even sure how I feel about it yet.
...But I think I love it

Damn...Your artwork is so inspiring and maybe I'm looking too deep into this, but i love how behind all the chaos and colors you can see the beauty of the woman in the backround. Hopefully that made sense idk I just think it's dope!

'A tachyon ( /ˈtæki.ɒn/; Greek: ταχύς, takhus, "swift" + English: -on "elementary particle") is a hypothetical subatomic particle that moves faster than light.'

Love the piece - wondering about the connection to the physics connection, if there is any? Barrie

I really like this piece. It is a departure, but works well. It puts me in mind of those walls people hang layers and layers of flyers on. It looks old and fresh at the same time. Nice job man!

I did the same thing with a painting that wasn't working the other day, and it was so liberating. I want to keep it up... it was such a relief to work with instinct instead of intellect.

Sometimes a rut forces you to take a risk - it can be a great thing!

Always love your ladies! I like the tape rips, did you plan on it or did you accidentally rip the paper when you pulled out the tape and just improvised?

why do you usually plan out every brush stroke? don't you feel you gain so much more by working like this?
I as a spectator at least see so much more happening, and can get something more than just being impressed by your technical skills (something which bores me to no end)
