Description Film Test / Water-soluble wax pastel / 12"x17"

This was the first piece I did with the clear overlay film I've been using recently.
It's 3 pieces, one of which (the bottom piece) is white board.

I did a similar thing back in high school for a final. Had forgotten about doing such though you have done a much better piece. 10 points!

the one on the left is just with my camera. The one on the right is a scan

how do you scan them? I ask because my prints that I get done professionally are decent, but they arent exactly directly on point. lol. So, I'd like to bypass that and do it myself then upload it to a USB.

I have a small scanner and I scan all my pieces in sections, then put them together in photoshop. It's time consuming but well worth it.
You can do this with just about any scanner. try to make sure there is not much of a lip on the scanner. You want you art to be sitting on the entire bottom of the scanner bed.
Also, Scan all your images in at 300 dpi, you don't need to go much larger. I usually scan my paintings in a 400, though it is a bit unnecessary.

does this help?

this is too interesting... what kind of clear overlay film do you use and... how do you keep it together, only with frame+glass? ΓΆ_ΓΆ
i really have no clue. but i really like the effects you manage to make with the transparent layers!

yeah it would be held together by framing it.
The brand is Dura-Lar. It's an acid free, non-yellowing, clear film. Great stuff but super trick to use.
The wax stays on it well and the pigments really shine on it
Cool stuff
