Β Thanks very much. I really learned a lot from this challenge, there's so many amazing artists whose work we recognize but never bothered to look up their names.

This is SO cool, I wanna do this for an anime character I'm paying tribute to. Although unfortunately I can't put all my styles in the meme I wanna do something like this.
Character is:[link]
And I did a Pixar and a Bob Clampett style of her.

That's pretty nifty. You really nailed Seuss, Schulz, and Sanders. Barbera stands out too; sort of reminds me of Daphne from Scooby Doo.
The only one I think is a little hinky is Jones, but they're all
impressively well-done.

Ha! I knew I picked up shades of Daphne in that one.
Jones did his fair amount of people; it's just that most of them were one-shot characters with the exception of Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam. Elmer's a pretty good study for how to draw people in Jones' style, or just how to draw cartoon people in general.

Using those guys to draw a little girl was too tough for me, so I went with the little boy in the Phantom Tollbooth instead. I've never seen it and I'm not even sure if Chuck Jones had any part in the character's design, but it seemed a lot easier.

Yep, Chuck Jones was the head of that production.
Upon further reflection, a good model might be Cindy Lou Who from the animated "Grinch" special. Jones did that as well, and while it maintained Seuss' whimsicality, the style was still his own.

Great ideas! I already know Ernest Shepard, but I had to Google some of the other names. Even though I didn't originally recognize their names, I definitely recognized their styles! I think I'll use those in my next meme...

Excellent! You did a great job capturing all these styles! Some of them are EXACTLY like it. I'd say this is definitely a great meme to push yourself. 8D
