Description Sometimes I wonder why I don't like to associate with people my age (around 19-20) and then I realize that I have plenty of ample reason to do so (not excluding their political beliefs, but the all around attitude of apathy is grating to me)

I feel your pain: listening to the endless prattle of the ignorant and the inconsiderate that makes you think the human race is evolving backwards, making you wish something would happen that would give you an excuse to retreat to whatever you call your sanctuary.

With God as my witness, sometimes I wish I was born deaf, it would at least partially end my suffering, especially with my sensitive hearing.

I honestly agree as well.  Sometimes I feel like an outsider to most people, as I am interested in a whole lot of things that are unconventional for my age.  That's why most of my friends are older than I am, as I find more in common with them than I do with people my age.

I would not go as far as wishing that I were deaf, but sometimes just listening to people ramble on about what stupid thing a celeb did or something like that honestly makes me wish sometimes I could just disappear just so I don't have to listen to that nonsense.

I just thought this would be interesting to put out.

Oh and you seem like the deviant TheEditoralCrew who was banned from here, and I don't see why the hell you are adding my deviation to your favorites when it is obvious that you and I disagree on every possible issue and would in a normal setting would have nothing to do with each other

What I seem like and who I am are two different things, but I have no way of proving it ( nor feel the need to) and therefore can't prevent you from believing whatever you'd like.  The reason I added your deviation to my favorites was because I really liked it, in fact I identified with it because I feel much the same way at times and I did find that interesting.  If you'd prefer I no longer do so, let me know and I'll refrain, but I thought that was the whole idea of things on this site.  Sorry you feel that way and are able to jump to such an expert conclusion toward someone, especially when you know very little about me except from two posts, both of which are common views from conservative Christians.  And especially I'm guessing when someone jumps to such a conclusion toward you, which I'm sure they do, it makes you feel exactly like what you are describing in this post, perhaps to a slightly different degree.  And on the contrary, I don't find it wrong to have discourse or associate with people strictly because they hold different religious or political views.  I think that is extremely harmful to a persons social capabilities and their emotional personality development.  People can be friends without being required to think alike, don't you agree?

Either way, sorry to have bothered you.  I wish you the best in your artwork and in life.

I know how you feel. I hate having to listen to the people around talking about pointless stuff drives me nuts.

Also, I completely forgot about this meme.

Yeah I did too until my friend did his own spin on it lol

Plus, most people often babble on about pointless stuff that won't matter at all.  Case in point, my generation, as for some reason we obssess over politics when we want a victim complex but spend the rest of the time oogling Kim K over what outfit she wears.  It's a waste of time tbh

"Case in point, my generation, as for some reason we obssess over politics when we want a victim complex but spend the rest of the time oogling Kim K over what outfit she wears."

Exactly! And another reason being that the current generation obssesses over politics is just so they can say, "Hey look at me, look how progressive I am!"

It is a futile attempt to be edgy and look cool, but in reality they have no aim or research to back up their ideas.  In fact, most of the time, they're following the celeb of Hollywoods in doing the same stuff they do.

But the celebs of Hollywood are false in nature, as one must remember that the last thing the proletariat needs is some rich well-off celeb with no real life experience whatsoever in dealing with the trials of the impoverished and downtrodden telling them how to do things such as the food they eat, the clothes they wear, and the way they do make up.  That effort should be better focused on revolution and establishing a rule of the proletariat, not wasting one's times on useless trinkets of information dished out by some snobs in Hollywood.

I agree (with the exception of the proletariat revolution part). We need to stop putting these celebrities on a pedestal. Just because they can act doesn't mean they know everything.

I mean, when is the last time you have heard of a scientist or doctor getting publicity for their discoveries or a local hero saving people's lives? Hollywood and the Mainstream Media only care for division, not unity.

TheJewishMarxist In reply to IronPiedmont1996 [2019-04-30 14:50:26 +0000 UTC]

That is all they care about it seems.  I know you and I disagree on a whole lot of things, but one thing we can agree on is that the media puts unimportant people who do nothing for society on a pedestal while not giving the people who do things for society the limelight they should be entitled to. Ideas such as diligence, unity, and being a part of the community have fallen to the wayside.  It is not without a moment in our lives that we turn on the TV and are no subjected to some mindless garbage such as a new sex tape by a trashy celebrity or even some stupid feud on social media where famous people act like little children.

It is quite discouraging to say the least that we indulge ourselves in celeb's exploits that put personal irresponsibility about diligence and often not, this is harmful to a society.  We can make progress, we just have to get rid of our inner Kim K or Snooki.  It's harder than it looks, yes, trust me, reading about celebs is as tempting to me as any guy or gal, but one must learn not to indulge stupidity and trends where it sacrifices the community cohesiveness as a whole.

I can sympathize, people nowadays bug me. Doesn't help that society allows this kind of thinking. Yeah, yeah, Freedom of Speech and all, but I'm opposed to giving idiots license to be idiots... there's no middle ground and it's very frustrating to figure out where I stand on issues...

...sorry for ranting, I'm just so fed up with this...
