Erasmus Ekundayo and Byrd Arngeir
These two are from the upcoming webcomic Magnetic North:Heaven's Expanse of course, but here's a bit more on each of them:

ERASMUS EKUNDAYO
age: 10 yrs old
Erasmus is a homeless orphan trying to make his way in the world. He's highly intelligent and kind-hearted but lacks in confidence, though he works hard to earn the respect of others in the village he visits. He has survived thus far by the generosity of the poor villagers, and he also runs small errands in exchange for food and other goods. One day, when looking for ingredients to make his special green-leaf stew, he came across a malfunctioning android. Instead of panicking and running at the sight of the android's strange movements and crackling speech, Erasmus did his best to understand what it was saying and set off to collect items that would help the android slowly repair itself. Once it regained some of it's faculties, the android couldn't remember who it's master was, so it gave it's loyalty to Erasmus. That android is named Byrd Arngeir.

BYRD ARNGEIR
Guardian Android
Byrd is a tall, thin, pale android who was found by Erasmus in a badly damaged state. Due to the damage done to his primary neural components, Byrd couldn't and still cannot remember the main details of his past until his neural network completely repairs itself, which could take years. However, Byrd is slowly finding things out about himself that frighten him, since he now seeks a peaceful life with his friend and master Erasmus. Byrd also suspects that whoever sent him to the village he now resides in will come after him eventually...
