I use GIMP and PS to make my gifs. You simply draw out every frame, save as a .gif, and then specify whether you want it to loop and how fast you'd like it to go. C:

Um, do you mean like the difference from the preview size to the actual gif?
What you view when you click on the actual deviation is the gif. What you're seeing before is the scaled down preview. So nothing gets bigger, just smaller.
