Description
The Solar Pact, formally the Interspecies Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Mutual Defense, is a multi-governmental organization, comprised of the 'Big Three' Human polities (the United Systems Directorate, The Centrian Confederation and the Holy Antaerean Empire), as well as various minor human states. The pact also includes the major alien collectives that have made official contact with humans, including the Chel Union, Zarlot Imperial Remnant, and smaller non-militarized civilizations that operate research and merchant fleets or have yet to achieve warp travel technology. Together, this alliance of humans and aliens serves to maintain peace and facilitate interstellar travel within the Orion Arm, as well as further exploration into deep space. The rise of the Orion Arm Hegemony and it's allies is the first major threat to the Pact since it's formation, with many of it's smaller alien populations requiring protection from the brutality of the Hegemonic military, which seeks to establish humans as the dominant species within the Orion Arm.
