This is probably the result of the most programs out of all my digital pieces.... It started off in Worldmachine to generate the land/water. Then I imported it to Terragen to render it into 3 dimensions. The nebulae/distant galaxies/whatever you want to think of them as.... they were made with Apophysis. The moon and stars were created in Photoshop 7, which was also used to bring it all together.The texturing of the land could probably use a little work..... and I know I'm not the best at creating stars.

Hey, this is not bad, but i think the space sceene doesnt work with the terregen, as the lighting seems wrong on one of them, either its the lighting thats worng, or something else? Both pieces look good though

Hmmm.... yeah, now that I think about it, it probably would have been a good idea to pay attention to where the sun was in the terragen render even though I wasn't using the terragen sky, eh? 
I'll keep that in mind next time I try something like this, since I'm sure this won't be the last space scene like this I'll make....

lol. i read a book by that title a couple months ago, that's why. and i hadn't seen the movie until last november at a friend's house.
