Description Tree II Soldier
Tree III Priest, Exorcist, Medic
VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL

"Trees" are the quickest way to understand the different playable occupations in Araëthen, indicationg how many P.C. (Degree Points, "puntos de carrera" in Spanish) are needed to get a certain level, and how many gold pieces it costs.

This tree in particular refers to magic arts and the degrees related to them.
Magic is not just a path, a line: any wizard or witch would agree its posibilities and branches are infinite, but since it began to be studied, it is divided into four categories: Green, White, Red and Blue magic, corresponding to the main elements- earth, air, fire, and water.

Each of the branches includes five different levels, named after mythical creatures related to the different elements. Level-ups are accomplished by passing skill tests (and paying the fees, of course) and are the demonstration of a wizard’s knowledge and abilities.
The creature’s names are used as titles to distinguish between magicians. Each mage recieves a badge with every new title, with the image of the creature representing it. [The Wizard’s Badge fills one inventory slot and changes with its owner’s level. It is not necessary to draw it on the app, but you will be required to cross a slot out.]

But a long time ago, wizards figured out how to take profit from their various experience with spells, energy and elements, putting them together with other studies and professions, creating Combined Degrees (upper part of the tree).

Any level 3 wizard (with the Rank Kirin, Gryphon, Cerberus or Selkie depending on their element) or upwards who also have certain studies or degrees can also get a Combined Degree.
As an example: a level 3 green mage (Kirin for short) which also has got the Potionbrewer degree will “unlock” the option to study to become an Alchemist. In the same way, a Cerberus who’s also a Blacksmith Master could become a Runic Blacksmith.

Ths degrees are usually devastating on the battlefield or incredibly useful to any army, often inclining the battle in favour of their side. One by one, they are:

SHAMAN: shamans are known for their almost absolute control over the forces of Nature. While their Green magic skills give them power over what’s physical- either land or living beings-, spiritism gives them the posibility to communicate and somehow control spirits. Harmonizing with the world both in mind and body, shamans can transform, alter and control creatures, ore ven change their own appearance, only surpassed by the laws of Nature.
ALCHEMIST: these wizards are able to list every property, beneficial or noxious, of every plant, animal or mineral, and use them to their will. Experts in creating new potions and mixtures, there is almost no effect that cannot be induced by an experienced alchemist. Want explosions? Implosions? Size, color changes? Want your gorgeous silk dress to resist fire as it was made of dragon scales? Don’t worry, you’ll have it… if you can afford it.

ESCAPIST: people use to call them spies, as they have no clue how different it is to be an escapist. Skilled in sigile and surprise attacks as well as in magic and inventiveness, an escapist is capable of breaking into any fortress, guess every secret, and leaving any object into their superiors’ hands… or their own. It’s as difficult to catch them as to defeat them in battle: those who have survived a confrontation with an escapist swear they can even vanish into thin air…

INQUISITOR: fearsome wizards belonging to the Church who acquire their strenght not only from their years of practise, but also, in their words, from divine energy. It doesn’t matter if you’re polytheist, monotheist, or atheist, you can not discuss they have greater power tan a standard Gryphon, and also can dominate all four kind of Wicks [Link to Guide on Wicks here soon] and use their effects even if away from an altar or chapel. Some also say their prayers are Heard by the Gods… but those may only be rumors.

PYROMANCER: the only mention of these mages brings out confdent smiles of their allies and terror shudders on their rivals. Experts of Fire spells, pyromancers are specialiced on an kind of projectiles. They create, perfeccionate, upgrade and bind them to their magic, being able to turn a slingshot into a rocket launcher with the correct rune inscriptions. Well, maybe not that much, but you sure understood the idea. Many wizards whisper about pyromancers’ creativity and brilliance coming from some kind of hidden madness… but they will always deny speaking about it later on.

RUNIC BLACKSMITH: a blacsmith master is more tan able to forge a good armor, balance a sword, upgrade a shield or shoe a horse, but a runic blacksmith will do much more than that. They’ll give you a cuirass of ice, a sword to call the wind, a horse whose horseshoes will never move or wear away. They’re creators of legends, parents of magic weapons whose name will resound over time, forged with their own fire and powered by ancient runes.

STORMDANCER: many soldiers would laugh if they were told they have to battle a dancer. Many… until seeing a Stormdancer in action. Their technique makes them able to invoke rain, cast wind, unleash lightning. With the right move, they will bring black clouds as allies: with the next one, they’ll take them away. Weather is at their mercy, and with it, its inclemencies. Cold, hail, snow and storms, they all kneel before the silent call of the Stormdancer, merciless as the wind.

LORD OF THE SEA: there are marines who ‘re not happy only having a ship. Nope, not only a crew, holds full o’ treasures, not even an entire fleet. They want somethin’ bigger… They want the Sea. The infinite, brave ocean. Lords of the Sea domain waves, currents and whirlpools, and drive the ocean’s fury towards anybody with the guts to consider them enemies. Devastating while on their ship, they’re also great fighters on land, where their attacks and spells gain power if near to their domains, the Seas.

since there are no stupid questions in the world: how much CP do you need to fulfill the pyromancer career? 10 and 3k gold like the high-level magics?
