Description With the group starting up they released new application templates, so here's an updated version of Cross'.
She's the same girl; just with a different version of the uniform (because I think it suits her better), a slightly altered hairstyle (it's just tied back now) and a different major (because her original one doesn't exist any more) but I'm pretty sure that's it. and then there's the fact that I got a bit more detailed with her description
If there are any problems/questions, just let me know. = )

Height: 5'3"
Weight: 124 lbs

Roommate: ______
Personality:
Cross, to put it simply, isn't the most intelligent person around, but she knows enough to keep herself from coming across as a complete idiot. When it comes to application she is indeed smart, though it’s a lack of common sense that holds her back. As a result she is a rather naive and dependant person -two traits she hates to admit. And though she’s lacking something upstairs Cross can easily make up for it with her devotion. She’s a girl dedicated to her work, giving a part of herself to each and every project. She’s very passionate about her work, loving not only to play but write her own pieces as well.

Cross loves to surround herself with people, feeling most at ease with others. This could because of her selflessness or maybe her insecurities –you can be the judge of that. She possesses a sharp tongue, sometimes being a bit of a smart-aleck, and is quick-witted. Sometimes what Cross says doesn’t make the most sense in the world. Though she’s a bit of a social butterfly Cross greatly cherishes her time in silence –her time alone.

Background:
It was shortly after she graduated that Miss Martina Valdez met Mr. Thomas Matthews. Trying to make a name for herself in the journalism industry, the young Spanish woman travelled to America, where she experienced more difficulties than expected.
Three months later, Martina was still without a well-paying job –her current income a result of working at a local bookstore. During one of her many shifts she met a strange man and before long the two had started talking, and before long one thing led to another and she was given a company name to try, still chasing after her dreams of journalism. It was after he left that she had realized no names were exchanged.

After sending a resume to the business, it was a miracle to find out she had been accepted –even if she were to start low on the company ladder. It was here that Martina met her knight-in-shining-armour for a second time. Weeks turned into months as Martina climbed the ranks, swiftly becoming immersed in what she had always hoped for; and through the thick and the thin it seemed she had Thomas by her side. It didn’t take long for her to find out that he had feelings for her, and it was then that she realized she felt the same.
After a promotion the two moved to Spain where they married three years later. The husband-wife duo’s works slowly became more and more popular, and it was in the midst of their success that Cross was born.

The young girl was immersed by beauty from the second she entered the world, and made for her parent’s pride and joy. Two years later another child was born, this one a boy, whom they named Laine. As they aged the siblings grew close, nearly inseparable, and with their similarities in looks they’ve been mistaken for twins on more than one occasion –even with the age gap.
When Cross was eight her parents started to travel for work, taking their children with them, giving them the opportunity to see the world’s beauty first-hand. Wanting to capture the memories that the sights offered, Laine began to paint landscape portraits until his skills escalated to something awe-inspiring. At one point in time he even tried his hand at people, but that was something he shared only with his family.

But then disaster struck.

As the family went river rafting one evening, they were caught off guard by a few rocks that were masked by the night. Laine fell from the raft, his head snapping against the sharp earth. Though the boy was badly hurt his body suffered only minor damage –except for his eyes; he went blind.
It was then that Cross’ talent came to light.
Feeling terrible about her brother’s loss as she and her family strolled through busy streets, she contemplated on what she could do for him. It was then that a beautiful sound touched her ears. It was the first time Cross had seen a French horn, and she was immediately mesmerized by what it was capable of. And looking over at her brother, she knew he mirrored her delight.

Music truly entered her life at that moment, as the young girl became determined to master the brass instrument. Buying one of her own Cross set to work, her brother her only critic.
It took years for her to get to a skill level that she was even satisfied with, and though she sometimes got frustrated, the smile on Laine’s lips made it all worthwhile.

Finally working up the nerve to give a public performance for a charity event, Cross was approached by smiling woman who had been in the crowd. Impressed by her talent and passion, the stranger told her of Academie des Arts. Her parents were enthralled by the idea, but Cross was concerned for her brother, wanting to stay with him. After a heart-filled discussion with him, she listened to what Laine had said and decided to ship off a letter to the Academie, now patiently waiting to see how things play out.

Extras:
~Growing up in Spain she knows the language, and was also quickly taught her father's native tongue, English. Because of their travels she can also pick up bits and pieces in a few other languages.
~Cross has two left feet (figuratively speaking xD)
~Really admires finished works from all sorts of mediums.
~Cross sings a little bit, though the only person she'll let hear her is Laine. And it's only because he likes to listen.
~When naming her, her mother wanted to call her "Cruz", but her father wanted to give her a more English name. They compromised by making her middle name of Spanish decent and calling her "Cross" which is the english variation of "Cruz"
~Martina works as a journalist, and Thomas as a professional photographer.

Such a pretty and interesting character - I'm really glad that she got accepted into the group! I just love her design, and the boots really stand out to me. xD (I wish that I had a pair!)
I was interested as I learned about her past, though the incident with her brother really hit me hard - poor Cross (and Laine of course)!
I hope that we get to see more of her as the group progresses.

Thanks a bunch!
I'm pretty glad to, actually~!
You're jealous, you know it.
*shrugs* Actually, Laine's much more optimistic about it than you'd think!!
Haha, I'm hoping so. She's a character I can play around a lot with when it comes to design and stuff.

I never said he wasn't optimistic, and actually, I view him being optimistic! I just feel bad for the guy because he lost his sight.
