Heh, well, mabari are smart like that... Poor Anders, no cats in DA2. Also, good dog! Save Anders from that nasty ogre (no matter how much he complains about your methods)!

LOL! True! Must be frustrating being that smart, and having no one around understand you... I suppose that after having seen what happened to Carver, the dog tends to turn a bit overprotective whenever he sees an ogre. Mage + ogre + no heavy armor = possible Anders purée. Anders = my master's love interest + the only healer around. No good.

Dog's thoughts: "Down! I said stay down, you stupid mage! Grey Warden or not, that ogre's still too big for you! And play dead so it doesn't come charging back! That's it, good boy!"

I must say, I love the equations you put together there. Most people make the dog's thoughts out to be somewhat cartoonish, childish even. That, however, was logic that a mabari warhound could appreciate (I totally believe the 'only healer' thing would outweigh 'cat person' and 'master's grumpy lover who threw me out of bed').

Still, Anders' perspective must be somewhat frustrating. Or frustrated, even. I just wish we could have an Origins-like interlude where Dog collects kittens instead of children. I think Anders would instantly forget this rough patch in the Deep Roads...

Lol! Can you imagine the dog starting to spontaneously adopt stray cats all over the city, and bringing them back to the estate? Not only would Anders probably grant him access back to the master's bedroom... But Hawke may just be the one who would need to go bunk with Sandal because of the sudden lack of space! Mabari, mage, and kittens, kittens everywhere!

To me, a mabari on the battlefield is a warrior and pragmatist first and foremost... All that nonsense about belly scratching, and running after nugs has no place in a fight! When the fighting's over, however... Lol!
