Maybe, but the Dwemer have never struck me as a people who abandoned their inventions. Even if they abandoned the project, I suspect they'd be more likely to disassemble it for parts than just leave it.

Did Jenna go in Falskaar alone without Erik?
Also those Dwemer Centurions, I just hid in plain sight while the Falmer went after it. I just crouched there and shot it with arrows. After the Falmer died I just killed it.
I think that's more fun than my friend saying it just fell in the water.
