No, many fire departments use white Firetrucks. I have also seen them in blue.

Private companies? I'd love to see photos of them in blue. Well, they don't have too many lights either. I guess they're for support?

NO! Not private companies. Some city's and towns use white firetrucks. Red is more traditional but any color can be used unless the local area has some sort of or dance about it. There are white fire trucks, but really uncommon and rare. More often used in the 1950's and 1960's.
