I honestly feel SORRY for characters like Diamond Tiara in retrospect. If they get an ounce of character development, they can no longer fulfill their function in the narrative as obstacles for the main characters to overcome, so their personalities are frozen.

Personally, I accept whatever origin a fanfic I may be reading comes up with for Screwball. I've even read a series of fanfics where Discord turned an excessively regular mare into Screwball.

I'm glad to hear that, there's a lot of fans who get so uptight about how certain characters are suppose to act. They fail to realize that Screwball only appears on screen for less than 3 seconds, and has no true character of her own.

Ever read Pony POV Series? A version of this is the premise for the Mind Games Arc and is the subplot for the vast majority of the series.

I've read a couple of your Pony POV Series, but I actually haven't read the Mind Games Arc. A few people have said this reminds them of the Pony POV Series, but the funny thing is that picture is actually based on my own fanfic I'm working on called Chaotix.

This is definitively a story you will like, knowing how much you enjoy the idea of Screwball being the mother of Diamond Tiara. It's going to be a very long fanfic, reaching 26 chapters in total, and probably close to 200,000 words.
Although there is something I've been meaning to ask you and that is how to you write so much, so often. I want to figure out a way to just sit down and write anytime I choose. Do you have an advice?

Dude. I deal with writer's block CONSTANTLY! I'm dealing with it right now! I go DAYS or WEEKS without writing anything when I'm given an emotion blow to my glass ego. It took me over a year to write what I have right now for the Pony POV Series.
One key is not to try and force events, but know the characters well enough to have the story flow.
EVERY WRITER IS DIFFERENT, and ironically, whenever I try to give writer's block advice to people normally they tell me "WHAT WORKS FOR YOU WON'T NECESSARY WORK FOR ME!" But maybe it's just the stress they're under.
I have ONE VERY IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE FOR YOU!
Don't write a sequel unless you intended a sequel from the start. KNOW where you intended to end the story. While the story must flow, make sure the story has a goal in mind. But remember the flow can CHANGE the story's goal, make sure that there is a goal, instead of you just writing until you get bored and move on and leave the story incomplete as a result.

I know everybody deals with writer's block, and that you deal with writer's block too. You may not think it's a lot that you've written in a year, but I do really think it's incredible how much you wrote for the Pony POV Series. The Pony POV Series is one of the more creative and original things in this already over blown fandom. Most fanfics are either Shipping, Grimdark, or basically just cliche stories.
I understand what you mean by not forcing events, I write stories around the characters themselves, instead of just throwing the characters into the story for whatever purpose they are needed.
I also get what you mean about about having a goal for your story. I have no problem with creating really amazing stories, It's just writing them down. The entire story, aside from a few minor detail is basically completed, I just now need to write it.
I actually have a lot confidence in Chaotix, as long as I write it exactly as I envision it. It could easily be one of the best fanfics in this entire fandom. I know I'm a little overconfident, but I really think it's going to be that great. Like I said, as long as it is written as I envision it.

Shock: "What the...Diamond? What's happened to you?! Your flank is blank, and you've sided with...that monster." (turns into an even darker form. He is filled to the brim with powerful dark magic, that even Discord might get hurt by. He charges his palms with a great deal of this magic) "Discord...I WILL KILL YOU!" (With that, he charges at Discord, and directly hits him with all of the built-up magic in his palm)

Utterly tragic. Her whole life from start to where they left off in the Pony POV series is just hellish.
Is that a Eight Star of Chaos cutie mark at the flank of her nightmare form or a Tiara? Because I remember at the end of the Mind Games part 8 where she goes nightmare it was a Eight Star of Chaos.

Yeah, poor DT. That was one of the best arcs in the Pony POV series, showing us how utterly broken Diamond Tiara is, and how she and her family got that way. Sheer tragedy from beginning to end.

That will only last until the Elements of Harmony scrub his influence away and cleanse DT as well. The problem is how much damage will be inflicted before then.

And I quote from the most recent tome of research of Interview Team Alpha Prime POV:
"I am unable to escape this conclusion. In spite of their polar opposite cause, polar opposite levels of sanity of the subjects afterwards: Alicornification and Nightmarification are the same process. 'Nightmarification' is when a pony is reborn as an Alicorn, but their heart is not aligned with all creation and the taint of black magic is within them. Similarly. Nightmarification for an Alicorn is when their heart's balance is destroyed in favor of one aspect of the pony in conjunction with suffering from black magic abuse. Alicorns however are in reality spiritual beings. As such: a de-powered and 'cured' Nightmare with no experience of being an Alicorn in my opinion unconsciously will assume a shape that is most familiar and comfortable to them, ie, their appearance as a mortal pony.
Power cannot be destroyed. Apotheosis is a one way door. Though it is possible for an Alicorn to separate, or seal away their power (perhaps in the guise of a small creature or object), it is still a part of them and not a separate existence."
In other words, the elements can give tiara a push in the right direction towards reharmonizing herself, and show her the world outside of who she was. So you might giggle all you like big banana D, but the power of Existence and Empathy will not be denied even by a new "girl".
