Prithee hear me my tale of joyous woe
For I am as Icarus, brought down low
My dreams, as glass, shattered through the cracks
Draws the tragedy of my joyous fate
Come! Hear the reminiscence of this fool

My rapture shone from atop that grand stage
An angel, she was, her aura divine
As Gabriel, she shook my very core
As Cupid, she did pierce true my soft heart
Of Icarus, I dreamt, to join her with my wings

Yet Daedalus, o Daedalus, forsooth
Had left this Icarus but his earthly feet
No mater, a trifle, my resolve strong
If not by flight, by Babel I would climb
To the very moon, to meet my Kaguya

Alas, alas! Curse my mortal vessel
Could naught but kiss the shadow of that moon
Could naught but catch my goddess' faintest glance
Upon giants' shoulders, her stardom shone
Yet crawling, I was, just below her stance

But so what? So what! Proudly I will boast
The lights of stardom have blinded me not
To my dream, my goddess, I've remained true
If I've reached her feet, then so I shall stay
True love's kiss, I give her snow white feet

Preening, gleaming, freely my heart flutters
You shall not mourn for my foolish romance
For when she giggles as I kiss her feet
Indulging in the nectar of the gods
Prithee see me my cheeks a happy glow
