Am I the only one who thinks that Thatch looks like a chef in his shirt (looks like a chef's coat) and scarf? Probably...but I always thought it'd be cute if Thatch actually was the head chef on board along with being a commander.In my mind, Thatch started out as a cook on the crew, and quickly rose in the ranks! And that's what this pic's about. It's supposed to be teenager Thatch (maybe 20-ish years ago?), and he's serving up dinner to his fellow crewmates. Mmm...curry. He always takes the first plate to Papa (Oyaji) and the next one to Marco, of course. ^^
Oh yeah, I drew Thatch with different hair because...well, I just wanted to. I figured this type of hair would be cuter for a teenager than a riizento.

I think he's such a wonderful character because we know virtually nothing about him, so we can let our imaginations run wild and have him become whatever character we want him to be (ie. a chef!). At least, that's one of the big reasons why I love him.
