Bit of a story behind this upload. I'm not going to tell it you, though. I'll just say how I made it insteadSo, yeah, This one had me sunk. First I tried 3D modelling snow. Then it was trying to overlay glaceon onto a real image of a glacier, with disasterous results. And here you can see my terrible attempt at ice. Just trust me when I say that the glaceon is stood on the ice. It doesn't look like it, I know, but ice is see-through, so you can't really put an occulsion shadow there either. Not pleased with this one, glad it's over.

I absolutely LOVE this one! It's really cool, no pun intended. I think if you had put some snow on the ice, maybe it would have made it look a little more like a glacier?
The Glaceon looks plenty fine. It doesn't look like it's floating or anything.

I don't mind your ice so much. I suppose perhaps the issue is that it looks too small; it makes glaceon look very small. The ice texture is closer to ice cubes than a glacier. That said, he does look grounded, and the picture overall has a nice quality to it; good composition and lovely peaceful colour. And it looks freezing cold!
