Fasten your seatbelts, ladies and gentlemen. We're about to go on another ride our Friendly Neighborhood Superhero. Within this issue of Spider-Man, a whole three months has passed since Spidey's confrontation with his former mentor, Dr. Otto Octavius A.K.A., Doctor Octopus. New York City and it's citizens had returned to normal once the whole Devil's Breath Crisis was officially over, but the peace didn't exactly last very long when night falls. Mary Jane Watson of the Daily Bugle was in the process of working on a story regarding the Maggia crime families and their recent activities now that Wilson Fisk A.K.A., the Kingpin and the Inner Demons are out of the way, leaving a power vacuum that each of the Maggia families want to claim as their own. The police had raided one of the families recently and among the items recovered, was a lost masterpiece painting called "The Maria". The painting was going to be on display at an art museum, but Mary Jane receives a tip that one of the families is planning on stealing it back, and alerts the Web-Head right away. Our hero investigates the museum and takes out several Maggia thugs while doing it. When the dust settled and the thugs were beaten, Spider-Man finds himself coming across a familar face. A face that was up to it's pretty little eyeballs in trouble. It was on this night that Spidey had a bit of a complicated reunion with none other than his ex-girlfriend, Felicia Hardy A.K.A., Black Cat.
