Description Things are not looking too good in this issue of Spider-Man. When we last saw our hero, he was duking it out with Lonnie Lincoln A.K.A. Tombstone. It was a hard battle, but Spidey was able to pull through, used the counter-drug on him, and defeat the brute. All was good for a while until the Web-Head caught wind that the Devil's Breath was stolen...Again. At that moment, things started to fall apart. Yuriko "Yuri" Watanabe, the captain for the New York Police Department, arrived to reveal that the situation is much worse than they originally thought, for Ryker's Island has been attacked as well. Spider-Man hitches a ride with her and the two of them makes their way over to contain the loose inmates. Spider-Man was able to minimize the damage at Ryker's, even stopping the prisoners from escaping in a helicopter, but then Yuri shows up again to inform him that the Raft is having some complications of it's own, and when they arrive, Maxwell "Max" Dillon A.K.A. Electro appears and shoots their helicopter with a bolt of electricity. Spider-Man barely holds on. He grabs hold of Captain Watanabe and brings the helicopter into a somewhat controlled crash. The Master of Electricity then uses his powers to open the cell blocks and release the super-powered inmates. Once the prisoners are largely subdued, Spidey begins his pursuit of Electro outside, who is briefly interrupted by Adrian Toomes A.K.A. Vulture. Much of the pursuit was mainly involving our hero to get out of dodge, especially when the chase goes up a long shaft. Spider-Man chases Electro out on the roof, where he is then surrounded by Vulture, Aleksei Sytsevich A.K.A Rhino, MacDonald "Mac" Gargan A.K.A. Scorpion, and Mister Negative. The fight is fierce, but they gain the upper hand. As Spider-Man crawls to the edge of the building, none other than Otto Octavius arrives, having taken on the mantle of Doctor Octopus. He warns the Web-Head not to interfere before throwing him over the edge. The villains then disperse, having particular jobs to do that will erase any debt they owe to Doctor Octopus. He then travels to the center of New York City where he unleashes the Devil's Breath. Twenty-four hours later, the entire city is on edge and put on high alert. Lots of folks were getting sick left and right, Mayor Osborn has branded Spider-Man a fugitive and lays the blame for everything at his feet, and Sable International holds the city under martial law while they try to seek out the escaped convicts. Spider-Man knew he had to put an end to all of this before innocent people get hurt. But first, he had to go pay one of the members of the Sinister Six a little visit. Starting with Electro.
