~Sawsbuck’s POV~

A flurry of snow erupted from the floor in a single white wave as I collapsed. Hooves unable to support my massive weight as the opposing Nidoqueen letting out a victorious roar at my defeat before it wandered off. Jolts of paralysing pain cramping up all my muscles from the body slam attack that had won her the battle.
I wail mournfully, though i know nobody will reply, I’ve been without a herd for weeks… T-the snow it’s… so cold. A slight peak of sunlight graces through the trees and yet it doesn’t feel very warm compared to the surrounding sea of frozen water droplets. Deep breaths, long deep breaths, I can’t fall asleep now, if I faint I’m done for.

The soft crunching of the snow catches my attention, I’d perk my ears if I could but… the paralysis is stopping any movement other than - luckily - the heaving of my chest as I breath. Soft white puffs, like sweet little clouds, drift away from my muzzle. I force open my eyes, the lids stinging as they’re pushed against the will of my status condition.

A figure. It’s tall and…. Silhouetted out. B-but the sun it… it shines so bright behind them. A-an… an angel. Sweet golden hair and crystal blue eyes slowly bleeding into view as whomever it is gets closer with slow and cautious steps.
Strange…. They look like a gardevoir but… they speak a language I can’t understand. My maw opens but only a strangled mournful moan can escape whilst it reaches for my muzzle. A single touch is enough to send shivers across my pelt, but not the cold kind…
Their hand it’s…. It’s so warm. All tension of the paralysis fades slowly as my muscles can finally ease, haunches sinking into the snow further but the cold no longer an issue. They brush their hand slowly up my forehead, down between my ears, and gently stroke at my patchy ruffled fur.
O-ow it’s… trying to drag me by my leg. It’s not strong enough, must be a low level.

It’s speaking again, arceus I wish i knew what it was trying to say, it looks so concerned. W-why is it crying, no please don’t, please don’t get upset. I want… to move, i just can’t. Everything tenses up again as another jolt from the paralysis surges through my veins.
What’s that? A berry maybe? No, it’s shiny, metallic like a voltorb but without the face and considerably smaller.

Oh wait… i know what that is. Mother had told me about these, humans would use them to capture us and…. So that’s a human? She’s… so nice. Mother said they were creepy and horrible. I can’t believe this is a human. She’s nudging the ball toward me. I think…

I think i should try to touch it…
