Here's a little scene I came up with that will hopefully ease tensions for Liz.

Liz arrived at the sheds a bit later than usual. She immediately noticed that none of her friends were there. They were either working the mail trains, delayed by heavy freight traffic, or spending the night elsewhere. Poor Liz began to feel very lonely as her fire was put out. It almost seemed like she wasn't welcome anymore. But as she was about to go to sleep, the sound of chuffing drifted in the air. Liz nearly jumped with surprise as Blake pulled up alongside.

Blake: Hey Liz.

Liz: Oh, hello, Blake.

Blake: *looks around the sheds* Well, you don't see this everyday.

Liz: *sighs* Yeah. Before you came in, I felt so....so....

Blake: Lonely?

Liz: Yes.

Blake: I feel that way too sometimes, but don't worry. At least you'll have me for company.

That made Liz feel a bit better. After wishing each other good night, the two engines went happily to sleep.
