Description
I watched DoS today and I am applying for the position of captain of this ship. I know, I know, it's doomed. It's forbidden. They're damn cute together...oh, wait. I was supposed to list reasons why I shouldn't like these two together, wasn't I? Ooops.
Anyways. I love them. Sorry.
Also, feel free to ignore the excerpt below. Crappy excerpt is crappy, but the whole picture was inspired by me thinking about what Kili's response would be to the height difference issue. Warning: Tauriel is completely OOC. Apologies.
LOVE YOU ALL!
"This shouldn't happen."
"And why's that?"
"Well...it has something to do with the height difference."
He leaned forward, arms propped on either side of her, face close enough to--no. No thinking about that.
"You know what they say about height differences, don't you?"
She tried to stop the small smile, but her face rebelled against her better judgment. Lifting an eyebrow, she asked, "What is that?"
He grinned brightly at her, his dark eyes dancing with a decided warmth, "They don't matter much when you're lying down."
A small, very undignified snort escaped her as she tried not to outright laugh. He chuckled at her reaction, but didn't back away, instead lingered there in her space with that irresistible smile. He gave a look of feigned innocence, "What? I was just talking about when people take naps together."
She couldn't help the rebellious feeling that decided to settle low in her abdomen, pooling warmly there with a mixture of nervousness and excitement. She wanted him. Well that was strange. And bad. And...she stopped caring as soon as she met his eyes again. They were dark and warm and intense. And suddenly she simply didn't care what others said. If it was forbidden or not. Something like what she was feeling in her soul when she was near him could not be wrong.
Lifting her eyebrows, she gave him a little grin, "I would not be opposed to that."
He had opened his mouth to say something, but froze for a moment and just blinked at her, "Uh...what?"
She stood swiftly, him backing away in surprise until she grabbed the collar of his shirt and started pulling him after her. She shot a mischievous look over her shoulder, "Let's take a nap, Mister Kili."
She could just feel his beaming expression on her back as they went up the stairs. In that moment she decided that she would be happy to feel that sort of warmth for as long as she lived.
