Awesome! She's one of my twin sister's patron saints as well (St. Elizabeth of Hungary, that is!)

Hello! After some looking around, I found this image and it's absolutely beautiful! I wanted to find the source and ask you if you would give me permission to use this image as a reference for a tattoo I am getting. To be clear, the artist will not copy your artwork directly, but I wanted to use it as a reference. But I wanted to get permission to use the likeness of your artwork.

Is it possible to purchase a print of this icon? We are starting a new mission in the city of Detroit and St. Elizabeth is out patron.

Saint Elizabeth has always been one of my favourite saints. Here care for the poor has been depicted in many famous paintings, among which there are many from Hungary (where I'm from) and I remember my mother telling me about her passion for the poor, even though she was a princess.
Thank you for this beautiful work!

I am mesmerized by the magnificence captured in this icon!! I am named for her, my beloved Saint Elizabeth of Hungary AND I am of Hungarian descent, born in America. I want to start-up my own nursing services, a small self-employment business as I am an RN with a doctorate, Doctor of Nursing degree. This icon picture would be perfect on brochure and online home page of business I want to create SO... and did you know SHE is PATRON of, among others, "nursing services"!!! HOW BEAUTIFUL, TRULY! God be with the artist and your webpage which I am visiting for the first time. Want to contact you on how it may or may not be possible for me to arrange this usage? Guess I appreciate it so much because, I too, am an artist. Just became a new member. --Peace! and Greetings from Elizabeth in Ohio.

You should put together a book of all your Saint pieces.

One of the more endearing of medieval royal saints. Nicely done. Do you know the paintings of her by E.B Leighton, and by James Collinson? They are rather good, too.

As for Leighton's, there's quite a good one here:

Collinsons' one is even nicer, I think, and did you spot the Templars in the background?

A quick extra - while Ludwig is not considered as Saint in the wider Church, he is venerated in modern Thuringia along with his wife as a saint.
I know this because I did a little piece on St Elizabeth when I was a catechist. The icon is beautiful, and I'm sure the kids would have been astonished if I'd had it then.
