Hey look it's a new character!
This is Jaq (pronounced like 'Jack,' short for 'Jaqueline').
Just experimenting with some new style techniques.
It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it to, but I'm still pretty happy with it nonetheless.

Haha. I look at this and see all the things that I don't like about it.
I got really lazy with the hair.
And this was one of those characters to which I was like "hey, I'm gonna give you a face and a very very vague backstory, but not much else! 
I do like the shading on the skin, though.

Nevertheless, even if you were a little "lazy", it's still awesomeness.
Oh, like a filler character? I think those up, but they...don't get hardly any backstory. They are just there, if they are lucky they get a name and that's that. I'm mean in my world.

She doesn't even really belong to a story.
Not a substantially developed one, anyway.
I've heard that some people have story characters and 'art characters,' which are characters that have a bit of a backstory and a concept but are used solely for the purpose of being the subject of pretty art.
I think that's what she might be.

I think that if I were to pay attention to all my filler and minor characters, I'd get so wrapped up in them that I'd end up with several more writing projects on my hands...

Maybe it feels like that now, but ideas will come along. I'm nearly sure of it. Creative people tend not to just run out of ideas suddenly.
