Description
I was really nervous today. My best friend Gou, though she liked to be called Kou, wanted me to come to her swim meet. She wasn’t on the team but was the swim team’s manager. She was pretty good at it as I heard.

“Come on, (name)-chan,” Kou said grabbing my hand. “it’s starting soon.”

I giggled a bit. “Alright. Alright.” I smiled.

We soon got to a huge pool. This was a swim meeting with the Iwatobi High School and the Samezuka Academy. Everyone in the Iwatobi swim club was friends with Kou’s older brother, Rin. Kou said that they were all friends as kids and went to the same swim club then as well. So both teams got along pretty well.

“This is the Samezuka Academy pool. It’s a joint practice,” Kou said. “Ahh the muscles.” She blushed hard staring at the guys here in their swim suits.

I giggled lightly. A guy with red hair and gold eyes came over. “Ahh I’ve never met you before. I’m Seijoro Mikoshiba, Samezuma Academy’s Captain,” he smiled brightly. “You’re pretty cute.”

“No. No,” Kou said taking my hand and took me away.

“I’m so confused,” I said. “Where’s our team?”

“Haru and Makoto should be here soon,” she said.

“Haru? Makoto?” I asked. I had never heard of those names before.

“Yeah. Makoto is our captain and Haru is our vice-captain. Makoto has the best back muscles and Haru the best triceps,” she said.

“We do huh?” a male voice said behind us. I turned to see an olive blonde haired male with green eyes and a black haired male with blue eyes.

“There you two are!” Kou said. “I thought you all were going to be late beside Rei and Nagisa.”

“Sorry. It was hard to get Haru here,” the blonde said. So he was Makoto and Haru was the black haired guy. With a blink of the eye Haru flung his clothes off to expose a black swimsuit that had a purple stripe on it. They were just above his knees. “Haru!”

“Haru has that problem when he gets near water. Haru, Makoto, this is my friend, (Name). (Name), this is Haru and Makoto,” Kou smiled.

“Hello there,” Makoto smiled as Haru nodded a little.

“Hello,” I said shyly with a tiny little wave. This was actually my first time around a bunch of guys. So them being half naked didn’t really help. Even more with Kou fawning over them. I guess there are two typed of girls. All she cared about was the guys and all I liked was the water.

I giggled when Haru just dove in since Makoto tried to stop him. “Makoto, it’s kind of pointless when Haru sees water. It’s like when (Name) sees water.”

I blushed. “Ahh, (Name)’s that bad huh? So I guess that means you like swimming.” He smiled.

“She loves to. Almost as much as Haru,” Kou said. “But she got hurt so she can’t for a while.”

“Oh no. You were hurt? Are you okay,” he asked.

“Yeah,” I said softly. “I was swimming and got caught in a storm.”

“She almost broke her back because she hit a rock so hard,” Kou said. Makoto looked scared and shocked at the same time. Kou told me he was afraid of the ocean so there was where the fear was from. Shocked, I suppose from the almost breaking my back.

“B-But I’m okay now,” I said to make him feel better. “I’m almost completely better.”

“Well that’s good,” he said with a smile. Kou said he always smiled. He was just that caring and sweet about everything. Kou even told me that when Makoto goes to get Haru for school there is a stray kitten living close and he always feeds it and pets it. She told me that Makoto’s family couldn’t afford it so it stays close to him by living on the stairs near him.

“(Name),” Kou said. “It’s starting.” This was a race with four people. Luckily our team had just that. I watched them. Our team was really fast but so were they. Kou said Rei was just getting used to swimming. He was amazing but what really caught my eye was how Haru swam. He was swimming threw it like it was nothing. Haru only swam in freestyle. He made that clear to everyone and it was no wonder seeing him like this.

I was a little embarrassed after the meet because without even knowing how it happened we all went to Haru’s house. He kind of lived at home due to his parents working over seas a lot. It was me, Kou, Rin, Makoto, Nagisa, Rei and of course Haru. Nagisa and Rei were talking to rin and Makoto as Kou and I were quiet. I got shy in situations like this yet Kou always got me into these. The first time was when she invited me over and introduced me to Rin. I was usually ignored in these situations because I was so shy and the new girl.

“(Name)?” Makoto asked. I jumped a little being caught off guard. “I-I’m sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you.”

“No. No. I’m sorry. I was lost in thought is all,” I smiled.

“Oh okay. I just wanted to ask how you were doing. You’re really quiet.” He said.

“Y-Yeah. I’m usually the person in the back. Easily forgotten,” I said.

“But how could someone forget you?” he asked with a slight blush.

“Because I’m so quiet,” I said with a little smile. I didn’t even know I did and it made him blush a little more. It was really cute really.

Kou pushed me a little to Makoto. I blushed and grabbed his jacket or I’d fall right into his lap. I let out a small little sound, which sounded like an ‘eep’. Makoto didn’t know what exactly to do. I balanced myself and then sat up.

I was blushing like crazy. “I-I . . . I’m so sorry,” I said.

“It’s okay. Are you alright?” he asked.

“Yeah I’m okay.” I said softly. “I’m so sorry.”

“It’s okay,” he smiled. “As long as you’re okay.” I nodded and saw Kou sigh.

I excused us and pulled her to the side. “W-Why did you do that?” I asked still blushing.

“Because you and Makoto would be so cute together. I mean with what happened would never have happened without me pushing you a little. Did you fall for him? Did his muscles get you?” she asked.

I blushed. “His muscles are nice and he’s really strong but I . . . I don’t know.”

“Aww you two should date. Give him a chance. Besides I can see you crushing on him,” she said. I blushed and went back in there.

By that time Haru had served mackerel. He was a really good cook. I really enjoyed it. we finished eating and everyone was talking and having fun in the main room as Haru and I cleaned up. We didn’t really talk but I knew by the end he was kind of happy I helped out. He seemed to like doing chores. Well this had to do with water so he probably liked it that much more.

After Nagisa and Rei left and went home. Rin and Kou were next as I was getting ready to go Makoto asked, “Where do you live? I’ll walk you home,” he smiled.

“Uh, it’s okay. You don’t have to,” I said.

“I know I don’t have to but I want to. It can be dangerous at night for a girl by herself.” He said. He cared about what happened to me. I mean I had a few close counters at night as I made my way back home, but it was nice to know this time I’d be okay for sure with Makoto with me.

“Um, okay. Thank you,” I said. “Good night, Haru and thank you again.”

“Oh it was no problem. Thank you for helping me,” he smiled or what Kou told me was a smile. “Good night both of you.”

“Good night, Haru. See you tomorrow,” Makoto said. He put on his jacket after I put mine off and we left Haru’s.

“Haru and Makoto should be here soon,” she said.

“Haru? Makoto?” I asked. I had never heard of those names before.

“Yeah. Makoto is our captain and Haru is our vice-captain. Makoto has the best back muscles and Haru the best triceps,” she said.

“We do huh?” a male voice said behind us. I turned to see an olive blonde haired male with green eyes and a black haired male with blue eyes.

“There you two are!” Kou said. “I thought you all were going to be late beside Rei and Nagisa.”

“Sorry. It was hard to get Haru here,” the blonde said. So he was Makoto and Haru was the black haired guy. With a blink of the eye Haru flung his clothes off to expose a black swimsuit that had a purple stripe on it. They were just above his knees. “Haru!”

“Haru has that problem when he gets near water. Haru, Makoto, this is my friend, (Name). (Name), this is Haru and Makoto,” Kou smiled.

“Hello there,” Makoto smiled as Haru nodded a little.

“Hello,” I said shyly with a tiny little wave. This was actually my first time around a bunch of guys. So them being half naked didn’t really help. Even more with Kou fawning over them. I guess there are two typed of girls. All she cared about was the guys and all I liked was the water.

“She loves to. Almost as much as Haru,” Kou said. “But she got hurt so she can’t for a while.”

“Oh no. You were hurt? Are you okay,” he asked.

“Yeah,” I said softly. “I was swimming and got caught in a storm.”

“She almost broke her back because she hit a rock so hard,” Kou said. Makoto looked scared and shocked at the same time. Kou told me he was afraid of the ocean so there was where the fear was from. Shocked, I suppose from the almost breaking my back.

“Well that’s good,” he said with a smile. Kou said he always smiled. He was just that caring and sweet about everything. Kou even told me that when Makoto goes to get Haru for school there is a stray kitten living close and he always feeds it and pets it. She told me that Makoto’s family couldn’t afford it so it stays close to him by living on the stairs near him.

“(Name),” Kou said. “It’s starting.” This was a race with four people. Luckily our team had just that. I watched them. Our team was really fast but so were they. Kou said Rei was just getting used to swimming. He was amazing but what really caught my eye was how Haru swam. He was swimming threw it like it was nothing. Haru only swam in freestyle. He made that clear to everyone and it was no wonder seeing him like this.

I was a little embarrassed after the meet because without even knowing how it happened we all went to Haru’s house. He kind of lived at home due to his parents working over seas a lot. It was me, Kou, Rin, Makoto, Nagisa, Rei and of course Haru. Nagisa and Rei were talking to rin and Makoto as Kou and I were quiet. I got shy in situations like this yet Kou always got me into these. The first time was when she invited me over and introduced me to Rin. I was usually ignored in these situations because I was so shy and the new girl.

“(Name)?” Makoto asked. I jumped a little being caught off guard. “I-I’m sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you.”

“No. No. I’m sorry. I was lost in thought is all,” I smiled.

“Oh okay. I just wanted to ask how you were doing. You’re really quiet.” He said.

“Y-Yeah. I’m usually the person in the back. Easily forgotten,” I said.

“But how could someone forget you?” he asked with a slight blush.

“Because I’m so quiet,” I said with a little smile. I didn’t even know I did and it made him blush a little more. It was really cute really.

Kou pushed me a little to Makoto. I blushed and grabbed his jacket or I’d fall right into his lap. I let out a small little sound, which sounded like an ‘eep’. Makoto didn’t know what exactly to do. I balanced myself and then sat up.

I was blushing like crazy. “I-I . . . I’m so sorry,” I said.

“It’s okay. Are you alright?” he asked.

“Yeah I’m okay.” I said softly. “I’m so sorry.”

“It’s okay,” he smiled. “As long as you’re okay.” I nodded and saw Kou sigh.

I excused us and pulled her to the side. “W-Why did you do that?” I asked still blushing.

“Because you and Makoto would be so cute together. I mean with what happened would never have happened without me pushing you a little. Did you fall for him? Did his muscles get you?” she asked.

I blushed. “His muscles are nice and he’s really strong but I . . . I don’t know.”

“Aww you two should date. Give him a chance. Besides I can see you crushing on him,” she said. I blushed and went back in there.

By that time Haru had served mackerel. He was a really good cook. I really enjoyed it. we finished eating and everyone was talking and having fun in the main room as Haru and I cleaned up. We didn’t really talk but I knew by the end he was kind of happy I helped out. He seemed to like doing chores. Well this had to do with water so he probably liked it that much more.

After Nagisa and Rei left and went home. Rin and Kou were next as I was getting ready to go Makoto asked, “Where do you live? I’ll walk you home,” he smiled.

“Uh, it’s okay. You don’t have to,” I said.

“I know I don’t have to but I want to. It can be dangerous at night for a girl by herself.” He said. He cared about what happened to me. I mean I had a few close counters at night as I made my way back home, but it was nice to know this time I’d be okay for sure with Makoto with me.

“Um, okay. Thank you,” I said. “Good night, Haru and thank you again.”

“Oh it was no problem. Thank you for helping me,” he smiled or what Kou told me was a smile. “Good night both of you.”

“Good night, Haru. See you tomorrow,” Makoto said. He put on his jacket after I put mine off and we left Haru’s.
