Ah, that dreamy look... when one is no longer a part of this world but somewhere far, far away...

hehe yes!! That sort of feeling when you are just on the edge of sleep, the warm and drowsy feeling. You are in the room, but you couldn't tell anyone what was happening.

Yes... I know that feeling only too well.

I like the intimate atmosphere of this one a lot, is it picturing any particular scene from the book? He looks like he's immersed in dreaming, (let me not say something stupid) maybe even lovelorn. I also wonder about the key.

Thank you very much!!
I think you picked up on the themes quite well.
This is based on a little scene in chapter 3 which I just finished not too long ago. Though the bit about the key does not yet appear in the story, but there is significance to it.
From what you have read thus far, I am sure you are aware that Flint does have feelings for the captain... that might reflect a bit in this image.

I'm waiting till I can read it

...You should totally write more descriptions for your paintings, I think it teaches to look deeper into each of them and give them more than just an overall glance, 'because once you start describing, I can see there is a lot of symbolism there and nearly each detail has a meaning. Then you automatically start looking for these symbols in each new piece wondering what they might mean, it's very interesting.

Thank you, yes, perhaps I should start adding more the the descriptions to my work. Its not always easy for me to just start discussing the piece in the descriptions. I am never quite sure what I should write. haha
