Hey maybe you should try using pencil lineart
Sketch on paper and use another paper trace to do lineart then scan and color digitally

I did that with BGS, just that my sketch is really rough. My sketching is now a shadow of my former self. XD

Yes, all of them are digital lineart. SAI's line tool is black magic. XD
