i agree with you on the "cake" competitions with a theme behind it, it is overrated and honestly it hurts! How are they "cakes"? To me they are more like how can i make all the pre-baked frozen cake pieces fit and hope to God they do not fall apart!
That being said, since i am not professionally trained (entirely self-taught), maybe i have no room nor background to bitch them out haha

Oh you have room, that's for sure. Your work is far and away better than theirs. Those people are what I think are clowns that are more mechanics than anything else. They're NOTHING like artists or even chefs but rather people the loud and abrasive people that take pre-made foods and fondants, and stick pieces all together to make something people recognize. The over riding skill is NEVER how this tastes really, but rather how can we make it stay together or make the fountains work, which is like I said, a structural problem and not anything the customer cares about. More television scripted, phony, reality programs that really are anything but reality.
I'd love to see you work with some really talented back chef so you can learn even more but you do great right now.

Lavender is really so enticing in so many ways! In Shasta County, Calif...with this manificent snow-capped volcano as backdrop sits a dreamy lavender farm...the visitors gets to pick their own lavender twigs, they serve you free levander lemonade, the bathroom door hangs a generous bundles of lavender...(no bad smell there), homemade lavender soaps, books, sweet treats...

PLEASE TRY IT OUT! : put some honey into a little bottle and put some dried lavender into the honey.wait 1-2 weeks and then taste the honey ..hmmm it ll give you some extra lavender flavour it is soo delicious into cocoa or into everything instead of sugar!

A lot of people are unaware of the delicious taste of lavender. Lavender - It is grown as a condiment and used in salads and dressing. Lavender Flowers yields abundant nectar from which bees make a high-quality honey (one of my fav. honey). Then there's a herb blend called" herbs of Provence" savory, marjoram, rosemary, thyme, oregano and for the American market, lavender was added as well. Lavender oil, medicinal use are great as well...
One of my favorite, lavender lemonade, so good....(kills my headache too)
