A personal plushie made after seeing some pictures of traditional teddy bears. Those things are just too cute ! I'm so happy I have my own now <3 It had it sitting around my work table for a while before I could think of something to put on it. I finally came up with a simple collar and bow
When I first set out to make it a looked into Mohair(the fabric traditionally used) sadly it was a bit out of my price range
However I saw this fabric online, I thought it had a bit of the same feel. Made of Crushed long pile Minky, felt collar and bow
Machine and hand sewn
Safety eyes
embroidered mouth and nose
thread jointed arms and legs
11in tall
I'd love feedback on this, I had some trouble deciding on proportions so I'd love input for future bears(I bought like 8 pounds of fabric)

This bear is so cute! And I'll bet that fur is really soft! I had some purple minky like that and it was so fluffy. ^w^ You did a really wonderful job capturing the traditional teddy look for him. The collar and bow look really professional, too.

I love the collar! The head has that shape that you don't see so much nowadays, but was used in older bears. Great job!

I usually don't care much for teddy bears, but yours is so sweet! The traditional look of it is spot on- I love the fabric you chose. It looks super soft, but has a built in "loved" look to it! I have to agree with a previous commenter about the nose shape, it's just so cute. This brings back memories of watching the old Winnie the Pooh cartoons when I was a kid and the beginning sequence would show the original Pooh teddy bear.
I also think your proportions are great, I can't think of anything to crit about. The pink fabric used for the paws and inner ear is really sweet, too. I think I would personally prefer something a little fuzzier for those bits, but it's still really cute as is. Lovely work!

My thoughts exactly, I wanted it to look like a teddy that had been passed down a few generations ^^
I was juggling with the possibility of using some normal minky fabric for the paws but I couldn't find one that I liked with the main fabric. I'll have to try that when I make another with fabric I can match !

I have the body cut out and pinned, I'm still pondering how to make the head more manly. I also need to wait til I have the body finished so I can test a few patterns for his mane.
I'll probably finish the body tomorrow. Sadly I'll be away from my house for spring break(next week) so I'll have to wait on sending the plushie after break is over.
