Nice bottle. The Voss Water comes from a place near where I live. The funny thing is that we coulden't buy these in Norway before, cause it was only costume sent to other countries. Though we got it anyway because I have brother who used to work there, so we could take all those bottles who where miss printed or something else wrong with the labels and my cousine lives where the water is tapped so he get the same water in his house. Quite nice

I like it, altho I think there's some errors in it.

The bottom text for example, it seems not to follow the curve of the bottle as it should. It doesn't arc downwards enough imho. (kinda hard to explain)

Another detail I think is worth mentioning is the thickness of the glass. You made it quite clear on the sides how thick the glass is, however the bottom seems, to me, to be thin as paper. (also hard to explain)

If you want I can make some small image examples of what I mean.

L'eau ha, how... generic. Great job Illustrating it man, my only thought is it looks almost exactly like a VOSS bottle, you may want to make something more original. Amazingly painted though.

Negative. Unless there is a new one, but I think you're looking at the one that's got the green backside, and is reversible, right?

It's nice, but why Voss? I think that there are many more interesting shapes for bottles than... well, a thermos. Also, the top of the glass part where the plastic cap meets the glass... I think that the highlight there wouldn't be so big because there would be a shadow casted on the glass from the space between the cap and the glass. The clouds look like gelatinous cotton.

It's not about interest, it's about the illusion of value.

endosage In reply to TheRyanFord [2006-03-03 06:13:38 +0000 UTC]

True, but as an industrial designer, I tend to read into the way that things were conceived, designed and explained to the person who can OK such a project like that. Kind of like wondering... where the hell does an idea like that come from? The whole "experience" of Voss Water to me, is far too overdeveloped. Yes, it's in a glass bottle, and yes, it's designed well, but in the end, it's just water. As I'm sure you can tell, I've kind of got this thing against Voss Water. In my head, it's a legit opinion, but I don't really think of it that often, so it's kind of a hard point of view for me to explain.

"in the end, it's just water."

Exactly the point, my friend. You'll understand it better once the project is finished.

Nice drawing Ryan. But I'm mostly satisfied with how the bubbles work now and hey, they seem to actually be going behind the bottle, some of the bubbles atleast. Awesome work.

I love how the gradient tones in the background are an exact opposite to the gradient tones of the bottle.

But to the left of the bottle, there's this digital line that looks wierd. I think it needs a bit more editing to fit in better.

I like it. Very nice work
