Yeah, not sure if this one would be an Alolan form or just a general alternative form that could appear in some other region. The idea for this was that Oddish, Gloom, and Vileplume were living in an area with a lot of other plant pokemon who they of course would compete with for access to sunlight. In nature, you either out-compete other species for resources or you adapt and get a new niche. These Vileplume opted for the later. They retained Oddish's habit of only coming out at night which intern, had an affect on their development in the form of a third possible evolution. See, my thinking is that in this region, the Oddish and Gloom look slightly different from their normal forms and if exposed to a leaf stone of Sun stone they will still evolve into their normal forms, all be it with slightly different coloration. However, if exposed to a Moon Stone, they evolve into a new plant/dark form which is a kind of hybrid of the other final evolutions.

Made using various old pokemon game sprites I got off the wiki and then mashed and touched up in photoshop so all do credit to Gamefreak. Oh, and the central icon is the loading wheel, or the pinwheel of death, all mac users should be familiar with. So all due credit to Apple. Might take this down at some point if my anxiety flares up again.
