Description
Finally put this together~!
This is an open species! You can create any level of rarity.. :3The serpents come in pretty much any color. They mate for life, and go into serious depression if their mate has died. It's common for two grieving serpents to find comfort in one another.
Credit me if you make your own c:Many of the traits are listed on the image, but here are some extras~Common Traits:
Glowing belly (it's common for it not to be glowing too)
Uncommon Traits:
Solid body color (all white, all blue, etc.)
Extra long or short spines
Striped claws
Striped spines
Crystals embedded into the skin (which can glow)
Rare Traits:
Dwarfism
Extra limbs or tail
Feathers (on the body, head, tail, etc)
Crystal(s) embedded into skull (which can glow)
Legendary Traits:
Celestial markings
Transparent spines/horns
Transparent skin
Extra head/chimera serpent
Spines anywhere other than along the back

I havent drawn on of these in some time! My tablet is broken, so maybe when I get a new one I'll reboot these bad boys and update their ref sheet!

i want to make one, but would it be counted as a rare trait if i drew mine with all spines for a long time, then made it apart of the story to have some spines break? (so like, there is a small bump where it use to be) because i was thinking of having it be a mount, but i really want spines on its back.Β
like the story would be roughly that during training, the arcane broke some spines and they never regrew, but it was in just a good relative spot for the tamer to see the arcane as a creature that could be used in riding, so the tamer started trying to tame the serpent for that.Β
The tack would be fairly weird, but it would work super well. Like it wouldnt be exactly like tokota/horse/shedu tack. It would be much different to fit a serpent.Β
