Description I'm pretty happy with how the cake turned out. I had planned to do a lot more with it, but ran out of time. Which is what happens when people move a birthday party up one day.

I had originally planned to have more block items such as the star and flower as well as the ones I have here on wire sticking out of the cake.

Perhaps a Mario block version II.

It was quite a task to cut all those little pieces out of fondant! I found myself wishing for Mario cookie cutters....

Yup! What really took a long time was cutting out all the little pieces to go on the cake since they had to look pixelated.

Its covered in fondant which is sort of like a frosting that you roll out like dough.
