Here's my first of what will probably be many submissions to the Hawkeye Initiative starring 3 of my favorite wise guys :3I just have to say... My absolute favorite part of this picture is Spiderman's knee xP I'm in love with it lol

Haha Thanks xD I can't take much credit for the poses though since, for the most part, they were taken from a picture of Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy since that is the way of the Hawkeye Initiative lol

In any case, after discovering the Hawkeye Initiative yesterday I doubt I'll ever be able to look @ Hawkeye the same way again

no like isn't it supposed to be about showing how the artists make the women characters look really off or do things like twist in awkward angles and stuff.

Yeah it's about pointing out how women are objectified in comic books as sex objects by putting them in these ridiculous outfits and twisting their bodies into angles that no real person can twist in just to show off their butts and boobs. Also, it seems like a lot of them are drawn with like mile long legs and 10 inch waists that couldn't possibly be big enough to hold any of their internal organs xP

Exactly! That's the point lol Don't you find male superheroes with proportions like that disturbing? It would be even more disturbing on a female and might get the point across that they should be more appropriately proportioned. I mean, when you think about it, comic books give men a very specific idea of what they should look like and who really wants a bunch of nerds walking around with deltoids the size of their head? It's horrifying and I imagine if seeing women in comics drawn the way they are doesn't sit right with women, seeing men drawn like that probably doesn't sit right with a lot of men. It's only fair to make the initiative equal! :3
