Description
Also called the Steppe Mammoth.
This species emerged 1.7 million in the early Plestocene, evolving from the southern mammoth and developing 18-20 ridges on the molar. It also likely developed a thicker coat due to living in the colder steppe of mongolia compared to earlier species. It was also the largest species, and the second largest probuscidean at a massive 13.1 feet tall at the shoulder and weighed 14.3 tons. It also had curvier tusks. Much like the previous mammoth it would split into various new species which we shall cover in the next four pictures
