Description Rukia stops by the local park after grocery shopping to take in the sights and relax a bit....but then, something catches her eye, reminding Rukia of her true calling and purpose- to save and guide souls.

On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, a shinigami's duty is never done.

Finished and colored in Painter IX.

Wow, awesome job! I really like the look of the bushes behind Rukia (Hope I got the name right) and the "J Mart" on the bag.

I know these are the little things, but they are a huge part of the artwork for me.

Yeah, you don't see feet much in anime, and when you do, they're usually drawn horribly. I like drawing feet realistically. Funny, I can draw feet pretty good but not hands.

Thank you. I've seen girls do that alot, where they'll dangle their flip flop on their toe as they sway their leg/foot about. I've noticed they usually do it when they're bored, absorbed in their work, or are thinking/daydreaming or are absent minded, which is the same idea behind this one.

Thank you for the comment and fave. Yes, I definitely wanted a relaxing atmosphere. I also wanted it to seem really casual and laid back, which I think works with how she's posed on the bench. Dangling her flip flop with her toe, etc.
